If I take off the outer sticker, will it work in my Prodigy V3.1? I have one coming in the mail in a day or two with the 6V configuration because I figured I have some 3.7V batts and charger so I might as well just get the other config. Are the AW17670P ones the ONLY batteries that work with the Prod? Or are there any modifications I can do to make it happen with the ultrafire?

No, they are too fat, only the AWs fit. The AW are a better batt anyway with greater consistency in both power and dimensions.
I thought (could be mistaken) that I read here in another post that the numbers broke down represented the size of the battery?ie 17= 67=?
Yes they do but the inconsistencies of the * fire series batts make using mechanical mods with tight tolerances totally unpredictable. Some work most don't
I have a Prodigy V3.1, along with the aforementioned AW 17670 batteries AND an Ultrafire 17670. All fit perfectly.
Good to know.One of my AW 17670 is real snug in mine.I have to take off the bottom to push it out the other end.
