I have been looking through a few different posts and have been wondering:

What is eGo and what is vGo? Do these actually stand for anything (are they abbreviations or acronyms)?

I know that they deal with threading (or I've come to that conclusion)

I have also been wondering how these relate to 510 and/or 808, 808d-1, etc.

Also, I have been trying to figure out what type of threading my Halo Triton batteries have; I believe they are 808d-1, but I am not completely certain.

If anyone could answer these questions or point me to some clear information, it would be much appreciated.

Have a good one!

You can see what identifies an 'Ego' battery in the image by The Ocelot in this thread.

I guess it's just a play on words - 'E' for electronic, 'go' for 'on the go', or 'going places', or whatever the heck you want really.

Joyetech are often credited as the original manufacturer, but they were designed originally by Janty in Holland I believe.

Other manufacturers have recently been putting their own 'badge' on compatible batteries - Kgos, Evods, etc. I'm guessing vGo falls into that category.

The Ego threads are used to attach tanks, drip shields, 'beauty rings', or atomisers themselves, but they don't act as an electrical connection. Ego threaded batteries always, as far as I know, have a 510 connector too.

ego is a style of battery that closely resembles the size of a sharpie marker. not sure on the vgo as I never looked into them. Ego's typically have 2 threadings, inside connector is 510 on all of them, the ones with the outside connector are ego threading.

halo's are 808 but not sure which letter follows.
