Baditude's blog talks generally to battery use imediately after charging regardless to the type mod. Since there is no way to know it is, I'm sure, a conservative approach.
The internal temp of the battery may not be reflected by the case temp. Internally is where the battery failure would occur. Please don't blow your face off due to not allowing your battery to cool.

Got y first mod today, vamo v5, and the guys at my local store said to let my batteries sit an hour or two after they charge before I start to use me. Since this is my first mod, and never having dealt with batteries before I was wondering if this is true, or just something they think it true.

I let my Batteries sit for 5 minutes or so after charging.

I think an Hour or Two is Kinda Overkill.
