Quick release system for atomizers/mods

Not sure if this has already been posted but here's a good project/discussion item - I wish someone could come up with a good quick release system for atomizers, something pretty much like the one used for airhoses or camera lenses (quarter twist lock).. I've got 3 tanks and 1 drip atty and it's a bummer having to screw them in and out of the PV/mod everytime I want to switch them around.. ;-) Imeothanasis of Golden Greek already has the core idea with his Ithaka interchangeable base adapter.. Hope he can continue work on it and develop in into a new product :)

There are alot of electronic equipment that use a spring loaded bayonet type connectors such as a BNC or a mini BNC. The instructions for The PUCK E-cig mod calls for a M Coaxial Power Jack (nothing more than a 808/901 connector) so with that said somewhere out there is a Quick Disconnect connector that might just work for our application.

Its a good idea alright but i like the 'thread on security' of my APV, id imagine 'quick release' may not be as secure.
Its bad enough having the top cap come off my RBA, id get a real fright if i went for my Provari and the whole ZAP was gone haha

Securing the atty should be two fold, pretty much like the BNC as mentioned by USNRET, and pretty much like that of a camera lens mounting to the camera body... you pop it in, give it a quarter turn till it hits the lock.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of an aftermarket universal quick release system, which will consist of two parts - the base that attaches to the mod and contains the lock mechanism, and an adapter for the atty to hook to the base... can be marketed as a pack of one base with 2 or maybe 3 atty adapters ;-)
