Built my coil, 9 wraps or so around a 5/64 drill bit, 28g kanthal.

ohms are reading 1.2, 13, and 1.4, they're pretty steady but the slightest adjustment to the screws will cause it to fluctuate. I'm terrified of shorting this thing LOL. one of my screws *may* be slightly misaligned? it is screwed tight like the other but is sitting higher than the other by a tiny bit. is this by design? or should i redo everything?

You should in the future, bend the wires up along the back sides of the posts and clip them off at the top of the screws. Sometimes if you snap them off right at the posts they have a tendency to work their way loose inside the post and will cause you to have a bad connection and you would have to re-coil your atty...

Agree, you should not get much, if any, fluctuation on your Ohm's reader/meter. Make sure the Atty is screwed in well and the screws are snug but don't over tighten cause you may snap the wire/coil.
I usually keep my tails short and bend any excess upward toward the screw heads but never passing the screw head. A strand of KGD cotton or any cotton you got, and your good to go. Enjoy! :vapor:

Also, if you overtighten the screws, you can damage the post itself. I did this and had to get another post.

Crap, how do I know when they're tight enough? I tend to overtighten things. luckily worst comes to worst i *think* i ordered extra posts...tried to have every replacement part i could but may have missed that one

also I just rechecked my ohms and back down to 1.3 lol. will recoil tomorrow morning i think
