Only when you press you button, or all the time? You're hearing a harmonic frequency, but whether that's from the electronics or the battery itself is harder to know. Gratz on the keen ears, though; I'm similarly afflicted.

Then I hate to tell you but it's probably the electronics. If it was only when you pressed the button, I'd guess the battery itself. If you just got it, can't you return it?

Might last a day or might last for years. Problem is in the board though and best to exchange.
I emailed the retailer about it, they want me to send them a video of the sound. Problem is I don't know how well they will be able to hear it after the video is compressed and blah blah blah through email, plus if he's over the age of 30-35 he might not be able to hear it anyway...
Ruby Roo noticed a noise when the screen is lit. Probably the same thing.

I bought the 100w plus and it does the same thing. Anytime the screen is lit it makes the faintest little buzz noise. It's been like this for 4 months or so and still firing away so Im not too worried about it.
The electronics. Really its the inductor used in the regulator. They often emit a audible squeal when they are working. I doubt its an issue at all....
this is the electronics in the mod it's self i would not worry about this. It's for the LCD display when it lights on it makes the noise and then stops if the mod goes to sleep and i've noticed this on the first day and my 3rd day with my Sigelei 150Watt. I would not freak of this as younger people have a more keen of hearing to higher frequency.
My boys swear to me that my battery charger makes an annoying high pitched squeal.........15 and 18.........my old 54 yr old .... can not hear this noise at all......
My 50watt Istick makes a audible noise to me when I fire low ohm coils.....so I build in the 1 ohm range.........no noise.
