I just got back from my friend Elizabeth's house. Some of the ladies at my church have gotten together to do a Bible study. I was expecting something more women specific, like Martha Peace or Nancy Leigh DeMoss. Instead, we are doing a study by Jim Berg, and instead of being what I wanted, it is exactly what I needed. God put this book in my pastor's wife's hands, because he knew that would get me to read it. I probably wouldn't have given it a second (or even first) glance other wise.

Anyways, we did the first chapter tonight and it is really good. It's all about those things that go on in your head (those voices of worry, bitterness, doubt, guilt, etc.) that keeps you from the important stuff and away from God. Check it out Overview of Quieting a Noisy Soul

Cool! Maybe you can post what you are learning, in your own words, from time to time. That would be awesome. We all have those noises....I get them all the time.....you know....awful thoughts that pop up and you think, "Where in the world did that come from!" So, I rebuke the p.o.p. and if I have to, I'll keep repeating, "Resist the devil and he will flee." (I'd like to give him fleas!) I can't wait for that bugger to get thrown into the lake of fire. THAT day, I'll rejoice greatly!:banana::banana::banana::banana:
