QUIT METER ON iGOOGLE HOMEPAGE
Many of us here have our quit meters in our sig lines. I think these are also a great way to remind us of how much money we have saved, how many cigs we have avoided, etc. In other words, I think they are a positive influence on ourselves.
Anyway, I decided that I wanted this little reminder on my web browser's homepage as well, since I look at it every day. I will include instructions on how to do this with an iGoogle homepage, and maybe others can chime in with how it can be done with other custom homepages (Yahoo, etc).
1) On your iGoogle page, click on 'Add stuff' (found in the lower-right corner of the banner area at the top of your page.
2) At the right side of the gadget page, look for 'Create your own gadget' and click on 'Try now'
3) Under Framed Photo, click 'Get Started' (This is the only gadget I found that seems to auto-resize the image, which is needed)
4) Fill in your info......
4a) Title: I just put Quit-o-meter but you can put what you want.
4b) Photo1: Use the BBCode you got when you made the meter but you need to remove the
tag after the code..
5) Caption: I just left it blank.
6) Under Settings, I changed it to update on every refresh so the smoking statistics are more current.
Try it out by previewing, or just add it to your page and move it around!
