Well its been an interesting week. Last Friday I bought my last pack of smokes. I have had a few I am not going to lie. Not because I needed them more of a homesick type thing. Maybe ten this week compared to 40 a day. The hardest part for me is finding the right juice and equipment. juice is the bigger problem some has made me feel pretty sick. Guess its a finding the combo of flavoring and nic level. But as far as quitting smoking. I am really surprised how easy its been. Cravings for about a second. But copared to anyting else I tried by far the easiest and most fun. Yup fun

Congrats. Yep, the right flavor was the hardest thing for me. I managed to keep my equipment working for me...and that was over 3 years ago before we had all of this fancy stuff...but liquid was a real challenge. To make matters worse, my taste buds kept changing...ornery little things, those buds. I finally tried "unflavored" which for me is the closest thing to what I vaguely remember smoking to taste like. If I have one suggestion it would be, once you find a flavor that you like, keep some 0mg on hand so that you can mix and vary the strength.

Sounds exactly like me a couple years ago when I started.

Welcome to the other side.

The first few months can be a bit of a ride, especially on your wallet;
fortunately there's a lot of better options and prices out there compared to a couple years ago;

get yourself some unflavoured; at least it will serve as a backup if you find some flavors just hard to vape;
you will also find it interesting to add a drop or two from a flavoured liquid to your unflavoured

Congrats on your successful journey!

I was surprised how easy quitting was for me after I found out about vaping. I had some strong cravings but I managed to overcome them. Juice was the hardest part. I spent a lot of money trying to find something I liked. My taste buds changed a lot too. I didn't have trouble with my equipment. The first few days I used Ego style batteries and CE4 clearos. Then went to an MVP 2 and Protank minis, which was a big improvement. The next step was an iStick 20w with Nautilus mini. I DIY most of my juice now, it's so much cheaper.

From 40/day to 10/week! Impressive. You can be proud of yourself. As Gandy, I quickly switched to making my own juices because after trying different commercial juices, I couldn't find my taste staying stuck with 30mls of juices that I didn't like. Now I have handy PG, VG, nicotine solutions a collection of flavor concentrates handy. I am making small volume of new flavored juices for testing, making larger volumes if I like them, at nicotine concentration of my choice also regularly vaping unflavored juices. For the recipes, I found some inspiration in here https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/post-your-diy-tobacco-recipies-here-please.249287/.

My first post. Congrats on cutting back to 10 / week. That's huge. I was a pack & a half a day smoker for 45 years. I had my last cigarette 3 months ago. I don't even miss 'em now. I'm amazed at how easily vaping made it, to get off the cigs. It was a little frustrating in the first month, trying to find a juice that I enjoyed. I was spending too much $$$ trying this and that. They seemed ok in the store, at the sample counter, but went 'blah' rather quickly after a tank or so. It didn't take me long to decide to go DIY. I've been mixing my own stuff for 2 months now, and it blows away the juice I got in the stores. I haven't bought a bottle in the store since.

Stick with it, try and be patient in your search for a good eliquid. It's out there, even if you have to make it yourself. The smokes will be in your rear view mirror, for good, soon.

40 a day down to 10 cigs a week is a huge accomplishment! Congratulations! Finding the right juice for me was hard too. And since I didn't smoke anymore my taste buds kept changing as well. I would find a juice I liked then a week later it was gross to me. I was spending a fortune just on juice until I found a place that sold 10 ml bottles for $3.99. That way I could buy several, try them out and buy bigger if I liked them. Good luck with finding flavors!
