I've only been vaping a short time, but I've cut cigarettes out almost completely. I keep waiting to feel better, too. :( For the past few days I've had kind of a low-grade stomach flu thing going on, but I don't feel sick otherwise.

Anyone else experience this?

I had the stomach thing too, but I read on here that it is a symptom or side effect of PG. I didn't change to VG and mine came and went pretty quickly ~ thank goodness.

Don't forget that tobacco leaf has sugar in it (both naturally as well as added to the leaf during curing and processing), and you are no longer freebasing sugar (yes, it hits the pleasure center of your brain just like ....... or chocolate.)

You can relieve some of the symptoms by eating something with sugar in it-- mints, candy, soft drink, fruit, sweetened yogurt, etc. It really doesn't seem to matter if its a small amount of sugar or what kind of sugar; glucose, fructose, sucrose-- as far as your brain and metabolism go, its all good.

I've noticed a hershey kiss every now and then helps me with some of the symptoms I've been having lately with smokers flu.
I quit the analogs and went on the ecigs more than 2 weeks ago. No problems with it until the end of 2nd week. Then, I started having trouble thinking clearly. Also I've been feeling so tired for the last few days. Almost lethargic. So I had a few hersheys and it seems to be helping me.
I think the little bit of chocolate is helping with some of the old analog cravings. I noticed that I started feeling better after I had some, I think it hits the pleasure center of your brain similar to how the cigarettes do.
Just my opinion, tho..

My second day with my PV and I quit analogs cold turkey. Wow did I ever get the flu. Couldn't think like my head wa sin a complete fog. I had high fevers and some wild dreams. Had to change my clothes three times a night cuz I was soaked in sweat. Thought I was having a reaction to the Nic juice but I held strong and haven't looked back since.

I do recomend useing your best judgement though. If you don't feel right and think you need a doctor then by all meens don't take our personal experince to heart.

For me it seemed to be a detox and the missery was well worth it in the end cuz I haven't smoked a cig in like 70+ days ( well thats a lie cuz I made some RYO smokes for my girlfriend and wanted to try the blend I mixed for her. She said omg what are you doing! No wories I took two puffs just to taste.. threw it out and grabed my 401 for something actualy delisious with no second thought of that nasty analog :D

Hey again all,

I was going to post this in the Health section, but apparently i cant ;)

My boyfriend has now been happily vaping for three weeks. He's now getting Quitters symptoms which i find strange, or should i? The Nictotine he is inhaling now goes into his mouth and is absorbed to the blood stream that way rather than into the lungs? But...these symptoms, like headaches and flu are symptoms of Nicotine withdrawel. Surely he should only get those if he wasn't using Nicotine?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yup, had the first symptoms myself when I started vaping in the first week. Funny feeling in the chest and light headedness. Coughing up a storm and hacking up God only knows what. Flu like symptoms are not suprising. The guy at the kiosk who sold me my e-cig kit warned me that I'll start to get it and to give it about a week to adjust. He was right.

Basically, what is happening is your body is healing itself after decades of abuse with analog cigarettes, which is yet another factor that keeps people from quitting smoking, even with FDA "approved". methods with the gum and patch. Nicotine is no more harmful thn caffiene, so it's not from that. It's from his body ejecting all the other sh*t that accumulated over the years. First week is Hell week for ex-smokers, but the e-cig makes the transition so smoothe, you'll only get some a couple of annoying symptoms. It will pass quickly. I know. :thumb:

He'll be fine. ;)

I have a fever right now and terrible body aches and pains for about three days on and off. I was a pack a day smoker for 5 1/2years. Since i was 18. I wondered if it was the e-liquid making me sick but i kinda doubt that. i feel terible. And i've been vaping at 11mg a day since i quit. Do you think i should go higher so i can fight these withdrawals??
