So a few years back I tried my first e cigarette (N-JOY), I bought it at a gas station..... I was highly disappointed, the thing kept leaking in my mouth.. UGH. TERRIBLE!!! WHAT A WASTE!

Then later on that year a guy that came to one of my parties had a "tornado" from Electronic Cigarette | E Cig Liquid | Totally Wicked E Cigs and let me try it. I was very impressed. The amount of smoke was amazing, and it almost felt like I was smoking.

Later on, I tried a Blu disposable cigarette. It was pleasurable, but not quite there. I've since tried one other brand of e-cigarette (disposable) that I can't remember the name of. None of these disposable e-cigs live up to the (hype of) over 1 pack. They last a day tops. I'm a half a pack a day smoker.... sometimes more sometimes less.

Now, I'm not a advertiser or anything..... but I'm kind of new to the vaping scene. I finally realize what the difference is between vaping and an e-cig. I know they are similar, but are way different at the same time.

What is a good recommended product that I can get for low cost. Not cheap (I don't want crappy hardware).

I've been reading on this forum for a bit and I've learned some. How often do you have to change the cartomizers/wicks/vape juice/whatever?

Is there some cheap chinese stuff that I can get that'd be similar to the totally wicked e liquid tornado (or whatever he had a few years ago?). I remember originally pricing it at over $100 when he first showed me, now it's way cheaper.

I just want something that will last me quite a while, and help me quit my analog habit... my girlfriend is constantly .....ing that I stink. I'd like a 3/5 - 4/5 throat hit, with *LOTS* of vapor on exhale ;P

Thanks for reading and helping!

Welcome to ecf. The world of vaping has come a long way since you were first introduced to it. It seems like the disposable gas station versions of ecigs are popping up all over the place. You would be well advised to avoid those. They simply do not live up to the hype of their advertising, and you will most certainly be disappointed.

Everybody here probably has their own preferences and you may receive conflicting advice. Personally, for somebody new to vaping, I would recommend gettting an eGo Twist. They are relatively inexpensive yet solid. They also have a standard connection which will allow you to try out a variety of "juice feed systems". I would suggest picking up a pack of cartomizers and maybe a vivi nova to try out.

The most difficult part will be finding the flavor of e-liquid you prefer. There are tons to choose from, but nobody can determine for you what will work best for you. I suggest ordering sample sizes of several flavors from a variety of vendors. This can be rather frustrating, and I can warn you that when I first started vaping I found more flavors that I hated than I did of those I liked. But it can also be very exciting when you finally find those flavors you enjoy.

Good luck on your vaping journey!

How often you have to refill juice depends on what kind of set up you have. Example: cartomizer, tanks, vivi nova. Personally I think the cartomizer tanks last longer, the vivi novas go through juice really fast. Also if you do use just a cartomizer with no tank, you'll have to top it off every now and then. And I agree with tigerlily on the ego, it's what I started with.

Also if you want more vapor from your juice use a juice heavier on the vg.

Yep that is the ego- I would go with Vision Stardust clearomizers if you just want easy to start. You can get them rebuild able or not- I don't because I know myself well enough to know that I won't bother, but they are easier to clean if they come apart. The cheap ones are a couple dollars more on amazon, but I do buy them there sometimes. I think five run you $25 on amazon. I get them from HealthCabin for 3.20/ea. One clearo will last a couple of weeks.
