That 2mm screw I ordered came in. Worked for me. Don't know what was so offensive in my previous posts, but whatever.

I might have to order one of those... Seems to be exactly what Ralikar is describing with a nice little post to hold onto. My only complaint is the 2mm (well, 4-40 was the closest thing my local Lowes carries) screw I've been failing with is only 1 1/4" long. Needless to say it's hard to get good wraps with something you can barely hold onto.

Yeah, update on the 2mm diameter deal. Like iKNOW said, the diameters are relative. I use cotton wick and I unbraid it so that i have loose stands. The diameter of the screw/nail/paperclip is relative to the thickness of my cotton strands. However, the threads on the screw help make for some beautiful looking coils when I'm done. Nice and even. I've rewicked all of my extra heads that came with my two 3.5mL tanks. I find my niChrome is easier to coil with than my Kanthal.

Thanks for the link! I order the screw. :)

Thanks, Ral, very informative. I tried understand with your instructions only; I tend to not have patience for videos. I am watching the video now. For those of you that want to cut to the chase, the instructions start at about 2:00 in the video; the loud background music is kind of hard to tune out, though, maybe because I'm old ;)

RALIKAR'S SUPER BONUS WICKING MOD (Cause I can't edit my post as it has been moved)

So I was about to toss away my used, burned wick/coil the other day and make another... When I thought: "I like my coil (had a nice 7 loop 3.0ohm one) it's just the wick anyway... Slid out the wick but kept the coil in tact... Took a new two strand wick and rolled one end tight and thin like cotton thread between my fingers... Just threaded a new one through... Been threading wicks here and there for days--no need to make new coils unless they bend too much on a rewick. May seem obvious to you, but I was replacing coils all over when all I had to do is slide a new wick through, maybe toss the coil in an alcohol bath to soak for a bit... That's why standardized coils/wicks are so cool... Harder to thread a 7 coil, easy to do a standard 4-5 coil... Wick is burned a bit... re-thread a new wick and leave coils in tact... easy...

Should I be looking for something like this: DUB695 Threaded Couplers 2mm (2) | eBay

Got this little 2mm bad boy in the mail today... Used it to apply Ralikar's method and BAM, perfect coil!!!

Thanks to both of you guys the ViVi Nova has come out of the drawer and taken it's place at the front of my vaping arsenal. Can't wait for my 36ga kanthal to arrive (too many wraps needed with the 32) so I can build some nice 3ohm coils.
