I've been vaping exclusively for for two weeks and 3 days. The transition was so easy it was scary. Got my Triton and some juices on a Thursday, had one cig that night and two on Friday. Had no desire to have another. Tiki Juice and Menthol Ice in my tanks hit all the right buttons. Got 7ml of each along with 7ml of HX3, Tribecca and Longhorn and a pack of XL cartos. Tiki and Menthol Ice went in the tanks, and the rest went in the cartos (along with Tiki to compare cartos and tanks directly).

Idiot me waited too long to re-order more Tiki and Menthol Ice. I ordered late Saturday night, and 30ml of Tiki and Menthol Ice, and 7ml of Shamrock ate scheduled to be here tomorrow (good thing I'm close to Halo and don't need rush shipping charges. The cartos aren't cutting it. The HX3 is pretty good, I'm not a big fan of Tribecca (although most rave about it), and Longhorn just doesn't work for me.

Regardless of what's in the cartos, they're just not doing it for me. I've broken down and temporarily admitted defeat and smoked 2 cigs so far today. But there's some great news, and I guess everything happens for a reason...

After 20 years of cigs, I can easily say I'm done. The cigs I smoked (my former brand of 7 years) taste absolutely disgusting. They used to be great, now they taste like a combination of inhaling campfire and licking an ashtray. I keep checking the tracking info hoping that it'll somehow speed up the process lol.

I guess I'm better off having messed up. It easily proved to me how much better vaping is. Taste-wise, not to mention the smell of my clothes, hands and face. I hate the constant hand washing and spraying myself with Febreeze, and drinking anything that'll take the awful taste out of my mouth.

Goes to show me that I bought the right equipment and juice the first time. Had it been other stuff, I probably wouldn't have re-ordered.

Can't wait till tomorrow afternoon when I'll be free of this crap again. I won't make the same rookie mistake twice (hopefully)!

Last thought - I ordered close to midnight Saturday. Stuff shipped out Monday morning. I hope this counters some of the people that have been complaining lately.

In defense of the cartos, they're adequate for a short-term solution to me. If I'm running some errands for a few hours, they're perfectly acceptable. They just don't cut it for first vape of the day, after meals and before bed. If m juice was scheduled to be here by dinner time tonight, I'd suck it up (no pun intended) and keep at the cartos.

Haven't tried the LR cartos. I've got two extra tanks, some replacement heads and 4 mini tanks coming too. I'll try the juices I didn't care for in the mini tanks; maybe they'll be better in there. Tribecca has some potential, but I'm doubtful of Longhorn.

I can appreciate brand loyalty but for emergencies I would take a look at this website Electric Cigarette | Eliquid | Supplies | Electronic Cigarette | Ejuice | Vapor Search USA

If youre ever in a pinch because a battery or mod dies or you just need some juice to tide you over brick and mortars can be a godsend.

Hope that helps.

I've been searching for a local shop since before I started, not that that was long ago. I really like the Halo juices and gear, so I'll foreseeably always deal with them, but I'll definitely try to do business with the local people too. One is about 15 minutes away. Thanks for the link, otherwise I'd have never known!

jr...feel so sorry for you right now. dont count the ones you smoked...count the ones you didn't smoke...and good for you! that is the way to look at it....
Thanks! I am however counting the cigs I smoke; I guess I like counting my beatings, because this is tourture.

I've been smoking full-time for 20 years now. I'd like to say I had a good run, but I've got no love left for cigs. I figured I'd be craving a cig after 2 1/2 weeks, but I'm really craving a good vape right now. Funny how that worked out, huh?

Again, it's all about the right equipment and juices. Halo has been perfect with that.

I think I've got a system for not running out again - fill a 7ml bottle each of Tiki and Menthol Ice once I get a 30ml bottle. Once I need to use them, it's time to order again. The two 7ml bottles lasted me 2 weeks, so I think I'll be good to go.

On another note...

People get caught up in throat hit and vapor. There's not nearly as much throat hit and "vapor" with my cigs as there is with my vapes.

For me, there's zero reason to ever go back.

JR, don't sweat it, sounds like you are well on your way to kicking the cigarettes completely. I haven't tried the LR cartomizers yet, but will on my next Halo order. I still like cartomizers for running around and keeping a smaller ecig size for those times. They sure don't compare to the Triton tanks though!

The cartos are good for when I'm out and about. But they're not doing it for me as an all day thing. Combine that with not having my go-to juices, and I am where I am. Every cig re-affirms my distaste towards them. I've been using the cartos today, but have had to mix in cigs here and there. I'm not down on myself at all; it's actually helping me in a strange way. I just had another cig - 4th of the day. I was dry-heaving the last 5 drags or so.

Makes me wonder how I enjoyed these things in the first place.

Jefsview -I've been over there a few times.

So here's an interesting one...

I found a "shop" that's about 15 minutes from me. Emailed them and asked if they have a storefront and if not fan I phone in an order and pick it up in person. They replied that I can't, but if I order before noon it should be in my mailbox the next day.

Seriously????

How hard would it be to call it in, give them my credit card info, and have a guy run it outside or hand it to me when I knock on the door?

And people complain that no one supports local business anymore. I'm not looking for red-carpet treatment by any means; but they really have to mail it? I'd be willing to give them an extra few bucks if they actually make money on the shipping.

Is the whole world crazy, or is it just me?

They probably dont want u to see the sh#t hole they make their juice in lol, people always talking about how they dont trust ordering juices from China, but I have yet to see a juice making lab in America, so I still dont 100% trust none of them.

Glad you got your "fix" JR!!! I am in a similar boat, I am dangerously low on liquid with the weekend coming! Just put in another order but I am nervous I waited too long.

This is what is weird though... as much as I'd miss my vaping a day or two I don't think there is a chance in leviathan's labyrinth I'd pick up the nasties now. When I was smoking the thought of running out and saying "oh I can chill out a day or two without em" would have been impossible. There is an option of picking up a blu or njoy disposable but at this point I am so hooked on Halo, even one of those don't sound appealing. I can't believe I have found something so good that I can say I do because I truly ENJOY rather than feeling like I just have an addicting habit I need to indulge to avoid the withdrawals but never really enjoying.

Halo really seems to make vaping something that feels too good to be true in my experience. :vapor:

That's insane. I never would have thought there were almost 5 shops within 30min of me. Thanks for the link!!!

Make sure they have store-fronts and aren't just mail order. I've got two within a reasonable distance on that site. Neither one will allow me to pick up in person.

Then I'm watching Maury, and there's a commercial for a local vape shop chain (3 stores). No parts in stock - batteries or tanks, and no sample sized juice bottles in 24 mg nic. Plenty of 30ml bottles though, so I guess I could suck it up if I had to.

The chain shop is a head shop. While I've got nothing against what they sell and what their clientele does, I'm not about to frequent a head shop unless they have something I can't get anywhere else.

Seriously considering opening a mall kiosk "vape shop." According to the guy at the head shop, there're moving a lot of vape stuff. Customers do however complain about the liquid they sell exclusively - Vermont Vapor.

Maybe I should rent a kiosk and sell Halo gear and juices. I wonder how much those kiosks rent for.
