Random Battery Question

Hello everyone,

I have always put batteries positive (+) side up facing the tank in my mechanicals/unregulated mods. I was killing some time on youtube watching videos and I can't remember who it was but they said to put batteries in negative (-) side up. Did I misunderstand, am I doing it it wrong, or was he wrong?

Well I have a Vamo and the positive goes to the top. I believe the circuitry is basically the same.

I don't really think it matters in a mech mod.
When I bought my Cube 14500 from Vaperite, Todd recommended inserting the battery backwards.
I did for a while, but found the switch mechanism worked better if I inserted the battery correctly.
I wouldn't try it in a regulated device though.....

Polarity doesn't matter in most mechanical mods, unless the device uses a Kick or has an LED or some other polarized components.

Electron flow is electron flow, especially in such simple devices as a mechanical mod. It doesn't matter.

Ya, electron direction for a length of Kanthal is irrelevant. The only thing to consider is if the mod will physically handle a battery in either direction. IOW, will it make contact either way.
