Random puff of air... then dead atty?

Put this in new members forum since I really didn't know where else to put it.

So I was vaping in my office tonight. Took a long pull and *POOF*. Giant puff of air into my lungs. Didn't hurt, it was like someone blowing into your mouth quickly. Just warm air. I'm really not sure what happened. I was vaping at about 4.5v, and I puffed one more time, it happened again. This time the atty was dead. I tried a ce2 and it went dead as well. I didn't get an error code on my provari, or at least not that I saw. I tried another ce2 and it worked fine. Only difference today was that I had started using a drip shield and 510-510 adapter, but aside from decreased airflow, I see no reason this should matter. If it did have something to do with the shield, I imagine I put the seal somewhere where air was allowed to build up somehow and then quickly blew through, but that seems unlikely. What I can't explain though, is that unless my provari had a sudden surge of power the blew the atty out, why my ce2 that was working fine less than an hour before hand would just die.

Since i've noticed I have the tendency to ramble, I'm just curious, has the "air puff" atty death happened to anyone?

Hasn't happened to me, at least not like that. I did have an atty throw its final "pop" of hot juice in my mouth right before it died though. Not to pleasant.

I've had this happen with atomizers when they die and have attributed it to hotter air rather than more air. I think they sometimes burn out with one final burst of the coil, similar to a light bulb burning out with a flash. The sensation it gives is an extra hot vape and then nothing.

Yeah I imagine that's just what it was. Was just a little unnerving. Go from havin a nice vape to *POP* lung full of air. Thanks guys, was just curious.
