Last Saturday 4/5/2014 I received a starter kit and some juice from MadVapes. No cigs since. It had a couple Ego 900mAH batteries, and 4? giant dual could cartos. It worked well, and the Icicle Apple juice in 24mg and 18mg is the best I've found so far.

The next day I went to a local BM store and got some of their juice and a Gravity spinner. $29 for the spinner which is just china junk with their own name on it. Their Banana Bread juice tasted like dog vomit after a while..:( $15/30ml The other stuff I bought was ok.

I went home and bought an MVP 2.0 and some tanks and coils from FleaBay. iClear 30, Vivi Nova, EVOD's, lots of coils. After 3-4 days that stuff showed up. The MVP 2.0 is awesome, but I'm not sure why. It doesn't puff any better than a plain Ego battery with the right coil, but I still love it :) The EVOD's are sweet! I think they will be my new favorite. I'm starting to think dual coil is a painful expensive gimmick. Single coil EVOD is awesome and burns way less juice.

Ordered a lot of crap from fasttech. 8? cheap 900mAh batteries to give away. Some kinda fancy V3 mod thing. Tons of coils and EVODs, and 4-5 types of their e-juices in 30ml and 50ml.

As of today, which is day 8 of no more 2 pack a day for 40 year habit, I've spent about $150.00 I think I'm pretty much good to go now though. And that includes at least 200ml of juice and many cheap gift batteries from fasttech I haven't received yet. I figure I had a $300/mo habit going on before and I've got enough crap to last me for at least 2 months, and that's even including juice.

So far my best buys are the MVP 2.0 for $41 from FleaBay and the Icicle Apple juice from MadVapes. Worst buys are the $29 generic spinner from local BM and their Banana Bread (Dog Vomit) e-juice.

As of now my 40 year of smoking cough is gone. Can't say my lungs are clearing up yet, but at least not getting worse. My wife who is a little asian clean freak is thrilled. No more smoke or dirty ashtrays, and she says my breathing at night doesn't sound like a set of broken bagpipes anymore..:) My only problem is that I still start looking for a lighter when I want a puff. 40 year habits are hard to break.

Congrats! Sounds like you Dove in headfirst. The MVP is a better device because rather than a ego with set voltage, you can adjust the volts on the mvp to perfectly match the coil so you can have a perfect vape. Thats the better part, your not stuck with JUST the right coil. you can switch it up to find what ohm coil is the perfect vape for you and the mvp can change the volts to accommodate to your liking.

Your juices will last you a long time so that will give you room to do research on other juices out there that have good reviews, as well as other devices ( if you want to ) because once you go down the rabbit hole there isn't any coming back up.

Glad you found things you like so soon, sometimes people aren't so lucky. Also, glad your health is already starting to improve! I've been stink free since new years and I feel like a million doll hairs already!

Hey Joe, glad to hear you are doing so great with vaping.:) I'm like you about the MVP 2. It's kind of hard to explain why I love mine so much, but I sure do. I still have my Vision Spinners for use occasionally though.

When you say Evod, do you mean the clearomizers? If so, I agree with you. They are great, work well, and are inexpensive to boot.

I also agree with you about the dual coils. More expensive, and use more juice. Who needs that? If you like the Evods, and want something very similar but with a glass tank, check out the Smok Tech Pyrex Aro tanks. They don't leak or gurgle and I have several of them. They hold a little more than the Evods which is handy sometimes. They are pretty inexpensive, about $8 some places, and the coils can be found for about $1 each.

I have no interest in buying an expensive tank and then having to buy expensive coils for it, too.

Here's a link to the Smok Tech Aros if you'd like to check them out:

So glad to see someone else giving a shout out to the Smok Aro's. I've been vaping 7 weeks, but it wasn't until I switched to the Aro Mini 2 that I've been able to quit smoking. This is my 4th day smoke-free. I had been smoking for over 40 years.

Took my lighter and put it away so I it would remind me not to light the ecig. Did however grope the pocket several times for it.
Yeah the first few months vaping are kind of like Christmas but with a credit card in hand, why wait. Luckily I had a 'Rat Hole' account so Momma Bear wouldn't heart attack caused by my 'spree'.
Dog Vomit? Interesting. Remember to vape it forward.

Last night was the very first time I had cravings for a real cigarette. I've read of this on the forum before but refused to believe it. I just kept telling myself to vape more and it worked.

It was just weird to me to keep looking for a cigarette and lighter between the vapes and I'm pretty darn sure that if I didn't have a PV and had quit without this aid, I'd have almost surely been a cigarette smoker again today.

Congrats! I started out with an ego c-twist battery and the MVP2 was my first real upgrade. I now have 2 of them. Despite having upgraded to bigger (better??(so subjective)) mods and mechs, I STILL use my MVP's regularly. They're great devices and fit just about any type of tank, dripper, or carto. Sturdy, compact, sleek, great quality, what more could you ask for? I laughed about the lighter, I call it phantom lighter syndrome. You know you don' t need it but you still can't help reaching for it. You're living proof that it's never too late to make those major changes. I wish you much continued success. Also, you will run into many more dog-barf juices in your search, but you will find some gems too. Been there, done that.
