Ratio To cut 36mg to 18mg

Hello all...

I got some flavorless 36mg 100% VG mix and want to cut it back to 18mg using VG

My noob senses tell me a 1:1 ratio would give me 18mg, but I'm more than sure I'm wrong, I know the Nic must take up part of this ratio somewhere... I'm no juice master and don't pretend to be so I need help please.

Because your bottle does have 36% in it now all mixed - you don't need to involve anything else in the equation..
just add same amount of 0% to said same amount 36% and you'll have 18%.
I had a brief thought of that also..

Yep - but it's almost never this straightforward (when you've also got PG/VG ratios, and PG-base flavors complicating the math) - so that's probably why you doubted it! But that's good - checking and being careful is why you won't be the person who accidentally mixes up and vapes something that's double the nic they expected.

Yes, Exactly... I seen all the cautions out there about DIY juice making, and calculators and my first thought was, ok... what am I missing here, When I first started vaping a lil over a month ago I got several different strengths just to see what I liked, I found 18mg to be my preferred strength, 24mg is ok but can't vape it as much as I like, but 36mg WOW way to strong... so I figured why mess it up when I could just come here and be sure I was doing it right.

There are a few good DYI Nic calculation charts out there. I'll try to find one for you. I've gotten myself lost in some pretty screwed up math before; made my head hurt.

e-juice me up has a calc in the prog just specifically for adding different %nics. together..

If you're not sure about the percentages, mix it up anyway and give it to someone you don't like much.

If the guinea pig doesn't answer the cell after a week or so try another percentage ...

Kidding aside - as long as niclevel is your only concern, things are pretty straightforward.

It does get a bit sticky when juggling flavours, PG;VG;H2O on top of the nic level..

Do use some app like e-juice me up or do ask here - better safe than sorry
