So I got in on this one. For some reason this one really intrigues me. The authentic is ridiculously expensive and is made by the Kryptonite vapor the makers of the 454 dripper and the CAM mod now known as Ravens Moon Vapor. I quite like their gear I have a authentic 454, Cam mod and just recently a KSS mod. Each of my authentics I owned a clone of before I went after the original. Big fan of their gear I have high hopes for this new one.

I emailed 3fvape and they said there clone doesn't come with plugs for one side of the deck for single coil. In the video of the authentic they said it came with plugs. Maybe someone else will clone it. I am interested in this one. I only do single coil.
I do single coils also except for my Orchid its the only dual coil rta I use. Ill have to make a exception with this one too it looks like. Maybe we can get a plug from Ravens Moon ill email them and see.

There are no plugs on the authentic, but rather a chimney "juice flow ring" which you may spin freely to adjust wick size. Or take it off and flip it over so there is only holes on one side, hence single coil. Genious design really. The only downside is it is a set and forget system. No adjustments on the fly for juice flow.

I own the authentic and im curious to see what the clone will look like. 3fvape website seems to just cut and paste from ravens moon photos and descriptions. I cant see the clone having any gold, since aparantly the cost of the gold on the ravens moon alone is more than the whole cost to manufacture a 454 big block. We will see i suppose!

Yah I kinda understand what you mean. ill post when mine arrives, if it is a hit ill go for the authentic when I can. One thing to remember is that gold plating is very, very inexpensive to do as it is only as thin as 1 micron in some cases and is durable because of the material it is bonded too. If it was a costly process China would not have done it I am sure. And in the end gold plating is not going to change the way it vapes :)

Your probably right, but Ravens Moon themselves have said the gold plating is quite thick in this case, since it was not simply electroplated, but rather "dipped" in gold. Hence the inflated cost of the gold plating. Aparantly much more durable and thick. It seems to make a difference on the conductivity but wont know for sure until i can compare.

Got mine this morning, arrived clean, no machine oil, but gave it a quick wash anyway. Build quality is quite nice, well machined everything fits well, threading is good, albeit a little on the sharp side. Gold plating seems well done, and is supposed to be 24K, looking in the screw holes I can see the Deck appears to be Stainless under the Gold.

Appears to be a PEEK insulator, easy enough to build put dual .7 ohm 3mm 316L coils in it butted the wick to the flow holes, had an initial bit of leaking, shut the holes down to about 1/3 seems to be doing well now Have only tried the big plastic tank so far, good vape, similar to the other dual coil atties like Crius. Nothing special, good flavor, but I don't see anything that puts it above any other popular dual coil tank. Certainly not $300 worth. It looks good, I'll say that. Airflow is also similar to Crius, Griffin, and similar tanks.

Not unhappy with the purchase, don't think I'll bother with an authentic.

This one is from 3Fvape, Fasttech recently listed this one, and a 316 version, pretty sure both are from same manufacturer.

to be fair, being able to block the spare AF holes in SC mode is a very good idea. JF isnt everything!

In fact, the authentics do indeed come with plastic cones to block the unused air holes!!

i know I shouldnt go there but you are blowing off the authentic on the basis of the performance etc of a crappy clone...seriously?!?!?!?!?!!?!?

No you probably should not go there, but I would expect no less from you. I'm not blowing off anything, and this clone is topnotch. The argument that authentic gear somehow contains magic, and somehow bests clones is a farce. A year or two ago this was somewhat true, and much China gear was marginal at best. Quality of machining, is top notch on this clone. Rumor is that he sold the design to China, wouldn't surprise me.

I've not had the opportunity to examine or vape the authentic, that will change in the next few days. Curious what differences do you see in the clone that would lead you to believe that the authentic contains some sort of magic?

This thing is just another high air flow dual coil atty like so many others. Does it vape good, why yes, yes it does. Is this 1:1, and vape like its authentic counterpart I will find out soon.

Did you ever get a chance to compare the clone against the authentic?
If so, what are your thoughts?
