Found a cell phone windshield mount at a flea market for 50 cents I drilled a 7-32 hole and threaded in a ego 510 adapter. I soldered a wire to the adapter to check resistance but that part did not work out so well. But I have a nice stand to wrap coils I can tilt it Im pretty happy with it.

Nice idea. If your stand doesnt stick to the desk, you can get a dash mount base. I think garmin makes one.
