So i finally got my Smoktech Magneto, batteries, and RBA-stoked! but having issues firing..

I got my first coil done at a local shop and it rated at .4, checked it at home on my ohm reader at .6, used it on the dude's mech and it worked amazing. When I connect the magneto to the W4 it barely works...the coils do not light up, barely any vapor production
Recharged all batteries to full charge.
Checked on different Carto tanks-fires perfect.

I believe I have a V2 cap already

Does anyone have any ideas of what I should do??

i feel like it has to be the top cap thing you mentioned...any tips im worried about pulling too hard on the springs

The Magneto's center pin on the top connector may need adjustment a little higher. Tweezers or a small jeweler's screwdriver can tease it up. Same could be true with the IGO's center post.

I went back to my local shop, troubleshooted with the owner ended up trying their store magneto top cap with mine and it fired the atty. I was hoping not to spend more right now because I just bought everything (batteries, charger, mech, atomizer) but I did order the top cap from a different vendor, hopefully this is the fix and I don't need anymore to make my mod work.

The Magneto V2 top cap should have a spring loaded center pin. Check to see if it is working properly by pressing the pin down and seeing if it springs back up. If it does NOT spring back up, the spring inside may be broken.

This very thing happened to my son's Magneto v2. Spring broken, took the plastic assembly apart and replaced the spring to get the mod operational. I ended up getting him a replacement top cap anyway just for kicks.

Same thing happened to mine. Seems like the springs that are in the top cap can't take the heat and they fail. Mine failed after 4 days. i ended up buying a 510 top cap that is adjustable. No spring= won't fail.

how did you disassemble the plastic part?

Take the cap off and unscrew the center pin. Take 2 pairs of pliars and with 1 grab on to the white plastic and with the other pull on the copper flat head screw and it will pop off. It's kind of hard. Takes a little force. Once you get it apart you can see if your spring is damaged. Mine looked burnt in the middle and lost its springiness.
