If anyone wants an easy fix, even though i bought the second top cap, a guy at my local shop told me how to fix it.

Disassemble the plastic part (use two pliers to separate the brass part from the plastic)

Pull out the spring that is already in there, it is most likely damaged so it is not fully making contact.

Replace the spring with one from a spring loaded pen, cut it down so that it can be in there (I cut a pen spring down to half size). It will hold the pin up at full height. Seal it back up and now mine works perfectly.

I was having some weak fires on my W3 with the Magneto until I realized I was an idiot and forgot about the adjustable pin. That top cap you ordered is the exact one I have and it's a thing of beauty. If you like having it in 18650 mode but don't like that the body isn't flush check out this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...agneto-solid-non-teloscoping-body-hybrid.html I'm going to be doing that as soon as I can my hands on the tube I need

interesting... I actually only have 18650s so that would be sick to have. I noticed that there is a slight wiggle with the telescoped mode.

That's odd mine doesn't wiggle when it's all tightened down. You might have to tighten it down some more. I also use flat tops in my magneto and can get the whole thing down with not even the slightest show of the threads
