Hi locals, would like to ask. recently my friend did a single clapton coil build on his subtank mini (reading 0.14 ohms) and he got very little clouds. Any ideas as to why and how to get more clouds?

he is using ipv4s with subtank mini firing at 30 watts and he is getting dry hits
Sounds like the coil isnt right. Check the coil if it's heating properly from middle outwards. Then check cotton wicking is not too much. 30 watts is not enough. Should fire at 45 and above. Clapton is more for flavour than clouds btw. And anyway Clapton coil in a subtank mini is kinda overkill. Haha. I'm not sure if you can get enough airflow to cool the vape.
Ive tried clatpons on it and it usually doesnt work since it restricts the air flow too much for me
How many wraps? And why are you getting 0.14ohms? It seems more like nickel than clapton. Unless he is using nickel clapton.
Master builder if it's a nickel clapton. My nickel claptons barely hit 0.1ohm and that's on a huge dripper how do you got a 0.14 in a STM.
I think you don't have your wire trapped properly. And then if it is kanthal which I think it is, pulse it so your coils are even without any hot spot. Then wick it well, not too tight not too loose. juice should be able to flow freely without getting burnt hits. Good luck
