RBA Mechanical and underperforming

Hi people
I'm using a K100 and iGo-L with a 1.4 ohm resistance and cotton with a MNKE 18650 battery (1500mAh)
I did the resistance to a 4 days and when I use the K100 steam production time is very low ... very low and after a 3 drives the steam increases. But when I connect the iGo battery EGO-L-900 in the vapor is constant.

I wonder if anyone has gone through this, it may be the low quality Kanthal 20?

Try cleaning your switch and all contact points. You should be producing 12+ watts with a freshly charged battery. Does the K100 have a adjustable center pin? Make sure everything is clean. Sounds like your just not getting a good current contact.

Quick question: Do you know what battery to use? Do you have a multimeter? Do you know ohm's law and how it relates to your safety?

The op is from brazil, so don't think English is their native language. He did post the battery he is using. 3 drives I am guessing means firing it three time, or three hits in, coil is warmed up and producing some vaper. 4 days, thinking 4 days ago was when built.

Does the K100 have a adjustable center pin?

I measured the battery separately and within the MOD and showed the same value
any ideas?

1.4Ω is not very satisfying on a mech, IMHO. Try a 1Ω coil, if your battery can take it.

That's OK... My English is not that good either.

I heard that the k100 had pretty good conductivity and was pretty reliable (no misfires) so if you say all your contact are clean, then, maybe your atomizer is not making good contact with the center pin. If it is adjustable, screw your atomizer in the 510 connection, then tighten your center pin. See what that does.

He seems to have problem with consistency... Not about the strength of the vape.

Yes, make sure your center pin is making good contact with the atomizer. Also, just wiping with a cloth may not of cleaned everything well enough. I've seen some use toothpaste to clean everything before assembling the mod and using. I use rubbing alcohol on everything on my mech, switch, threads, center pin... If your atty is working on another device with no problems, the it's either your contact points, threads pin, switch or the battery. Sometimes there is residual chemicals, oils or oxidation on the metal, and if everything isn't totally cleaned, you lose voltage and current draw through out the entire device.

The center pin is adjustable, and he left a space between the k100 and IGO-l, so I gently squeezed the pin and then the fit was perfect.

may fail on the negative?
seems to be the problem, because sometimes it works well, sometimes produces a little steam ...

can this be?

I've been using a K100 since March this year as my main vaping tool. I wrote the following to a fellow K100 user this morning. I know you know most of this, but sometimes it's the little details that get you so I'm quoting all of it here.

"A few points about the K100. It has a floating 510 connection (the center positive post) in it. Mine floats easily and is no problem but if yours doesn't you can probably push it up manually to assure contact with the atty when you screw it on. If you tighten up on the battery by screwing down the body tight it has been known to fire continually. If you don't screw down the body far enough the switch button will have a long button throw. Too long and the K100 will not fire reliably. Like with any mechanical mod, if any contact surfaces get dirty (oxidation is the concern here) it will have increased resistance on those surfaces and eventually will stop firing consistently. The locking nut on the switch can also unscrew a bit in use and if it goes too far it will stop firing."

I'm using MNKE 18650s and Sony 18650s with a AGA-T at 0.6 - 0.7 ohms. The vape is great and it's my all day vape. I use a IGO-L at about 1 ohm on another device. I use a micro coil with cotton on that and it's just as good as the AGA-T. Super_X_drifter has a great tutorial on how to make these here.

I'm with the K100 for 2 weeks, and the contacts are very clean

I am now using a efest 18500 and does not seem to have a problem.
can not believe my 3 batteries MNKE are failing ... can it be due to poor contact connector?

It is possible and easy to remove the center pin of the connector?
I want to do a clean but never removed the pin K100.
