Hello I have been vaping for over two years and have just decided to get into rba when I bought my kangertech subtank mini. I watched all the reviews and videos on how to build coils. Didn't seem to hard and with everyone saying it was easy I bought all the supplies I would need even a multimeter. I also got the coil master kit so they would be easy. Wrong I have no idea what I am doing wrong but every time my coil melts the end off at the end of the coil. The same end everytime. I use tempco kanthal k-1 26 gauge wire is it the wire or me?

Sounds like a tension problem you say k1 I hope you mean a1?
Usually this happens when that leg is longer then the other. It is called a hotleg.

But I will send you here, skip those other videos this guy is a member here and a true coiling wizard, his videos are specifically aimed at first time builders, if he can't teach you. It ain't happening.

Whoa even on 26? You must be sub-ohm-ing and had accidentally pinched the legs that it has a weak spot, it usually frys on the weak spot when I'm building on a 32, but never on 28 or bigger gauge. Interesting!
