For a dripper, try an Igo. The L or W lines should do it, but more than 3 posts may be a little complex to start with. They're great and they're cheap - like under $20.

On the tank side, the Kayfun Lite Plus is probably your best bet. It's easy to learn, and if you get stuck, there's probably more information online on how to build it than anything else out there, because it's the most popular.

I use an Igo-W4 for dripping and an EHPro Kayfun Lite Plus clone, and I love them both. Good luck!

I'm going with a Kayfun for RBA its easy to build and the flavor is equal and sometimes better then Drippers. For dripper I would go with something cheap in price to start as dripping isn't for everyone. My suggestion would be the Smok Caterpillar, its a 3 post atty can use single or duel coil and adjustable airflow. Its a beautiful brushed stainless with a gold airflow ring so it looks very nice, and for $10 its a steal besides the fact if you do like it it has everything you need in a dripper WIN WIN IMO

flash-e-vapor V2, Russian/kayfun, taifun, fogger V4.2, all would be a decent choice to start with. Pick the style and type that makes the most sense to you and go with it. I started with the Russian, and then my collection grew. and grew. lmao.

Fair warning though, once headed down the rba path, there is no turning back. lol

the igo-l or igo-w is a good starter the igo-w was my first rebuildable (and it offers dual or quad coil option for the future) and not too pricey just need to drill out the air hole in my opinion u will need wick material like silica, ecowool, or cottor and some kanthal and highly advise an ohmmeter on hand but being an electrical engineer im sure u have one and know how to use it. all rebuildables work about the same but price can vary greatly from one to the other hope this helps

I just bought an Igo w4 at a local B&M today. Figured at $20.00 it was a good price point to try building. They showed me how to wrap a coil, and I have to say it looks pretty simple. Only question really...what is the preferred fill for best vape and flavor? Do you like silica or cotton?

My opinion:

Cotton for the better flavor and vaper.
Silica for a more maintenance free, less often re-wicking.

I started with IGOs....went to the Atomic and Trident and Omega and Patriot.....Have Kayfuns. For a dripper that is easy to build on and you can grow into also...I would go with an Atomic clone.(you can get one for 22 to 25 dollars if you look around) For vaping without dripping I recommend a Kayfun of some type. They are very, very easy to build and give consistently great results.

I started rebuildables with an AGA-T2 genesis-style tank. In hindsight, the Kayfun Lite Plus would have been a much easier and better choice in the long run.

Not a fan of stainless steel mesh wick. Not a fan of genny-style tanks being position dependent (leak if not upright) or requiring the "genny tilt" with each vape. Inconsistant and fussy in MY experience.

Kayfun is not position dependent. As easy for out-and-about as a cartotank. Easy to build and doesn't leak. Consistant & dependable.

Information resources for your first RBA

Personally not into dripping. Don't drip and drive. Hate having to keep a bottle of juice with me at all times to vape. A tank is much simpler & carefree.
