I am curious as to the size of these things, not the dimensions, but the ml's. As I see alot of tanks and clearomizers, that hold anywhere from like 3 to at least 6 ml, and all of the beautiful RBA's (that I've seen) are all 2 ml. Is there a reason for this, and if so what? And secondly, where oh where do you start to learn about RBA's in general for newbies, like the concept of building your own wicks and coils, the difference between stainless steel coils, differences between ceramic guts etc etc.

Thanks in advance

A lot of the smaller ones like 2 ml's are to keep the dimensions down.
and sometimes the design of the airflow around the wick is such that the design needs to be slimmer or smaller making the tank smaller as well. an example of this would be the SS line with the center wick any wider and the air wouldnt get to the wick.

to give you an idea i have the vamo sitting here with a MMV gemini genesis on it, it measures 8.25 inches now.

but my cobras are 3ml and 5 ml,i take the 3 everywhere, but i wouldnt carry my proV and the 5 ml because its just under 10 inches long.
the ZAP is 4ml, some of it is design and some of it is how much size are you willing to carry.

First, let me say that RBA can be a misleading term. A true RBA involves removing the coil and/or wick system from your atty and actually making your own coil and wick. This is really a more advanced idea and involves the use and knowledge of an ohm meter, and should only be done if you have a more advanced mod that has short circuit protection.

I think what you are asking about is the tank systems that have been coming out that have "replaceable" heads. There are many brands, kanger, vivi nova, etc... These are great tank systems and have the ability to hold anywhere from 1.5ml to 6ml depending on your personal preferences.

I personally only vape the vivi nova 2.5 tanks right now (when I use a tank). I have found them to be easy to use, produce great vapor, and good flavor. The head is easy to replace, they are easy to refill, and easy to clean. Now, thanks to Phil Busardo at tasteyourjuice.com, I am actually rebuilding my own heads as well.

I hope that this clarifies the idea of replaceable vs. rebuildable and gives you some more information to make a decision that is right for you. Always remember that vaping is a personal experience, and what is right for one vaper isn't always best for you.

the one thing i can say when you finally get a genesis and get it to work right is wow!, i broke my glass tank once and while i waited i went back to the nova i was using and thought it was broken from the lack of flavor, they work fine but unless something better comes along, im a geni fan for sure.

I will recommend that getting a cheap copy is the best bet for starting out. theres nothing worse then spending 150 bucks and realizing it's not for you.
