I built a single coil, 12 wraps of 26G kanthal which should have come out to about 1.2/3 ohms on an authentic Mutation X V3 rda. I then put it on my ohm meter and it read 4.5 ohms. So checked another known build on the same meter and got the expected result. I then removed the coil and put it on another rda, and got 1.3 ohms.

The additional resistance is being added by the rda. I have physically inspected it and everything seems ok. This is the second time I have built on it, and the first time was fine.

Can anyone suggest what might bne wrong with it, and what I could do to fix it? Or should I just return it to the vendor?

Make sure the 510 center pin is fully engaged.

Make sure you resistance wire is making good metal on metal contact at all connection points. (Baked on juice can interrupt the connection).

Make sure the 510 threads are clean.

Etc. circuitry needs good contact conductivity everywhere that isn't actually hard connected.
