Picked up an igo w...anyone have a good micro coil cotton wick build?

I've got a vetted 3/32" build. My flavor champion. Requires good batt like samsung 20R or sony VTC4. 0.5 ohms. 5/64" air holes. Twisted 30GA.

I will shoot for 0.6 ohms next build.

But you wouldn't suggest a sub ohm build for a beginner, right?:p (Noting the title of the thread, jmho)

the most beginner-friendly rebuildable dripper i know of is the RM2 from Reosmods.com. post holes, posts wide apart, ceramic deck, plenty of room to build.

they are modded from the Triangle to be a bottom-feeder. so if you're not a bottom-feeder, the 10 buck Triangle should be pretty easy. just throw away the center piece and you have one of the easiest to build drippers around.

i have several high-end RDAs and with my old eyes, that's the easiest.

The post holes make build a little easier but I find IGO-L style coils terminals stay tight and IGO-W through post hole tends to loosen if not torqued perfect. For a typical coil I prefer to catch wire under screw head. IGO-W affords both options and is a win win.

I wish IGO-W had second air hole dimpled for dual air hole easy drill. Then user could choose single coil option.

You're right. I just found that out while building the Nimbus tonight. It's hard to tighten the screws down firmly with wires in the post holes. There's always something.

reading 2.4 ohms...will try less wraps

If i may be so bold... try putting those coils closer together. I wrap the microcoils tight. the less wire used the lower the resistance. Also, i use a lot less cotton through the wick..better flavor for cotton when "less is more". I also dont put as big of cloud on the rest of the device - small bit around the wick. That way when i drip my juice it will eventually run to where it is needed and be absorbed to the wick. Just some ideas to try when your experimenting. cheers

I went to a rebuild class at my local shop. We were given a Smok Dripper RDA for attending. This was my introduction to rebuildables. I really like it. The flavor is great and it is a very simple setup. I learned in the class how to build coils, TEST THEM, battery safety (max amps) and how to feed wick. So as a first dripper I would strongly suggest the Smok Dripper RDA (only about $8 US).
