I have been looking to get into rda's without breaking the bank to do it. Any recommendations for a beginner? Maybe around $30. It's a little over whelming to look around and it seems all the hot rda's right now hover around $100.
Under $30 for a beginner, take a look at the trident and helios clones. Both are very forgiving for beginners. The trident has split posts so you can lay the wire in there before tightening, and the helios has dual holes for the center post making dual coils really easy and it gives you the option for quad coils when you're confident enough. Just be aware that some of the helios clones are single airhole and the steel top cap is really thick and hard to drill.
I just got started into rebuildables, ordered an AGA-T2 and an IGO-L from MyVaporStore. The IGO-L was like $13, really simple, and it works well. Other than that, Fasttech has tons of cheap drippers... But then again, that's fasttech.
I'm gonna say IGO w or the newer nimbus V3 clone (with the philips head screws). These are both dual coil capable and have holes in the post making them more user friendly. The nimbus is a little easier to build because it has longer posts to wrap wick around (if that's how you build). You could buy both for 30$ honestly.
Or you could get clones of the trident, helios, patriot, and omega for $31.92 with free shipping. All of which are light years ahead of the igo's. I've got 2 igo-l's and an igo-s and with the same builds in them as my other atties they just can't compete. I also used to be a fan of the nimbus, but the patriot is basically a nimbus with a heat sink.
Just be forewarned that shipping from china takes forever.
I have 2 Igo-Ls and an Igo-W. They are great RDAs, but I always seem to grab the L. It has a huge deck, so it's really easy to build on. Yeah, the posts don't have holes like the W does, but I don't find it to be a big deal.
I'd say any of the Igos will give you the most for your $
+1 on the Igo L, I got mine a few days ago and it is so easy to set up and use. This is my first RDA. I don't go sub ohm but with a 1.4 ohm coil on my MVP it's still pretty a great vape.
