Should be usable with single coil, although dual capability is not a problem. Sometimes with clones you have to look at the pictures to see if there's dual air slots plus an additional single side air slot on the version you're looking at.
While I do like the flip top on the Mad Hatter, I never bought one because they have indirect controlled airflow from ducts below the coils. When you close down a direct controlled airflow duct the air can be directed to a smaller coil, so they are more wide range, especially for MtL.
I like the Atomic for low power and truly tight airflow, although it could probably work with more power. I used a Derringer for a while, interesting flat small chamber design, but hotter vapor than what I'm now using. I finally went back to my old Doge (original style) clone, which was actually originally considered a "competition" atomizer but by now is pretty average (see the Doge 2), and a good basic atty. As long as I stick to a narrow drip tip flavor is good, and cool too.
While I was somewhat into RDAs when I started mixing, when those 2 things came together it was no looking back.
