I asked this question in another forum, and I hope it is ok that I ask it here as well...
"I did a search and didn't see anything related...
After using clearomizers for a bit, I finally decided to venture into mech mods and rdas...I got vapemail today and got my nemmy clone, along with Igo-W clone. I've rebuilt a handful of Kanger atomizers in my ProTank II, Protank mini, and Evod for my Vamo V5 and eGo-C...using micro coils and getting around 1.5 ohms., So I think I'm step above beginner when it comes to making coils.
Now my Igo-W clone has only one, very small air hole. I know I need to bore it out, as well as drill another if I plan to do dual coils. With that said, excited to use my 1st rda, I built a twisted 28g. kanthal, 10 wrap coil using a 5/64 drill bit (1.17 ohms)...I've tried organic cotton, and P&C, like I have on the Kanger atomizers, made sure to add e-liquid before firing...only this time, everytime....it tastes burnt. Could this be because of the smaller airhole? (I did try boring it out a little with my dremel, ending up with a nice new scratch on my new clone) I don't think I'm choking the coil ( I know less is more when it comes to cotton)...I'm at a loss...
Also, when it comes to adding a second airhole, what do you recommend to ensure the holes align?
thanks in advance!!"
