hi peeps.
I have a lot of drippers and while some of them are very good at a certain thing they are not so good at others.
The 3 points that matter to me are flavour and the airflow(draw) and leak resistance.
take the magma.
best flavour I've ever had from a dripper but it leaks and the draw is way too tight.
The Aeolus has a great draw and never leaked once in 10 weeks I've had it but flavour is only ok.
the marquis is very good but the draw is a tad too tight.
my question is can anyone recommend a leak resistant dripper with excellent flavour and a draw somewhere between the derringer (way too airey) and the magma (way to tight).
cheers

Council of vapers aris. Adjustable airflow but even wide open its not to airy, if you drip through the topcap without taking it off impossible to leak as you can fill a full ml of juice in to the juice well. Flavor is definitely there but tou will suffer some clouds becuase of the airflow design (not much but you cant compete with the rda its a flavor chaser rda through and through)
Downsides are usually best for it is vertical coil or above airflow holes for best flavor. If your rough with dropping/knocking over mods the pyrex is easy to weaken over time and shatter eventually or crack. (Mine did after i was pushing to hard to get the cap back on after multiple times already of being knocked over)

You can't have both, wide open airflow and best flavor. There is a reason the ones with tighter airflow have better flavor.

Unless you start putting very large coils with massive surface area and go real high on power you have to compromise even then the good flavor is more a result of massive concentrated vapor then it is dripper design.

the best compromise I've found was to run the hazematic Revolt RDA, with the 510 driptip instead of the widebore. It's cyclops style airflow so you can run it wide or open or have super tight draw, it comes with widebore driptip or peek 510 driptip adaptor, and the main thing about it is the reduced chamber (thicker outer barrerl) which helps in flavoring. One RDA, you can run it as a cloudchaser atty or a flavor atty with all the options. Flip the barrel and u got dual airflow wide open to tight, flip the barrel again and its a tigher draw airflow. runs in single or dual coil airflow options, and has big postholes. I've been able to run single coils, dual coils, simple or clapton coils. its just been my go-to for everything recently.

I cant comment on other RDA's as I havent used them yet, but the vector and the hobo v3 look pretty intriguing as well.

New o-rings are needed every so often so if you get leaking, it could be a simple fix. This is especially true if you pull your top cap often. Some o-rings are either made better or are just a fraction of a mm thicker. I really don't like loose fitting drip tips, chuff caps or the little button rattle on istick 30s. OCD maybe.

CRacer, how often do you burn your lips? Slams have always seemed to warm for me. I hated burning lips on analogs and it's one of the things I try to avoid. Are there any advantages or is it just personal preference?

Well, I've had the slam cap for about a week and so far the only build I've run in it is a .5Ω dual coil at a modest 35W (I like a warm-ish vape, but nothing too crazy). The drip tip does get warm if I'm chain vaping with long lung hits, but not hot enough to burn my lips.

As for the advantages, my theory is that the smaller top cap condenses the vapor which in turn concentrates the flavor. I believe the Derringer's design was based on this idea but I haven't tried that one yet.
