Hi All,

I have ego ii twist battery with kanger GeniTank mini and 1.8 ohm coils.

Don't know why but I am not satisfied with the drags I like to drag a lot and heat up the coil and a coil last less than a week
Am i doing any thing wrong I tried different voltages but 3.3 looks good to me as higher volts gives burning smell.

I am still smoking analogs due to less satisfaction i think.

Using vg/pg juice 50/50 12mg nic

I would prefer more flavour a little more vapour and no burning smell at all plus very low throat hit

Will it make a difference if i buy omega rda and use it with 1.8ohm or 1.5ohm coils?

Don't have much options here in my country and it is also not cheap here.
So cant change my battery right now.

My main concern is does it makes any difference if you use rda with small shaft instead of longer shaft automizer while using same ohms?

Thank you for support

Hi,
RDA's are mostly used on mechanical mods and higher power VV/VW such as, 30 watts and up. With out this power and the skills to build your own coils RDAs are not very satisfying and I don't believe would fire on an ego battery. As far as your genitank, make sure to prime the new coil, don't take super long drags, and don't chain vape it (let it rest every couple drags) and it should work. The best thing I did when I started was found a knowledgeable local vape shop and asked all these questions along with searching the forums. Good luck.

Building coils on an rda will work fine even on a ego battery as long as you don't go low ohms.. 1.2 and up should fire on most although some won't fire if under 1.5 or so...

It's a great way to get your feet wet in the coil building aspect as well as being able to customize your vaping experience. I would stick to 28 gauge wire or smaller (bigger numbers)

A week for a wick (coil) is a LONG life for me. I am lucky to get more than 2 days, before the need to rewick.. That did NOT change when I switched from a clearo to an RBA. You will get a better vape and it will be easier to service than your clearo. I would also expect to see your 1 week per coil get even worse, plan to rewick daily, be happy with less.

pure ignorance....^^^^^^^ He got very BAD advise at the Vape shop and is 100% wrong in the first 2 sentences.

My Kayfun has NEVER run above 15 watts. Was used for 2 months on a EGO1100 mah battery, before I got my Mech with a Kick. He is right, the mech set at the same power as the EGO batt runs, and using the same coil, does make the topper put out more and better vapor. In fact I have to run my Protank at minimum power level to avoid burning juice with the mech.the limiting factor for ALL atomizers is the BATTERY.. The MOD whether Mech, Regulated or EGO, is just the holder for the battery and switch. You build and run you Atomizer based on the capacity of your battery NOT THE MOD or the Atomizer.

Been there & done that and can relate to what your saying.
You'll get more vape, taiste etc out of regualted mod.
30watts on up, though 50watt be the best to start out with.
orchid v4 is great, dual coil.
But, kayfun lite is a single coil that delivers as much vape.
Kayfun lite be a good starter.
Lg h2 or lg h4 18650 batteries.
You'll save time & money.

I would not jump from an ego to an RDA, I would buy a better battery first off. You can try an Istick 30w or 50w, then try a sub ohm tank the Atlantis is great or you can go with the Kanger sub tank has the option to use an RTA section and you can try out your skills. hope this helps good luck on your journey.

I went directly from using Protanks on Ego batteries to getting my feet wet with an Igo-L dripping atomizer on an Ego battery. If you keep the coil in the RDA at 1.8 ohms, the battery won't know the difference between the RDA and a pre-made 1.8-ohm Kanger coil. It does work, and it is safe - but I would STRONGLY urge that anyone doing this also get an ohm meter to make sure that the build is not shorted when tested with the cap on the RDA.

If you also use the same silica that's already in the clearo ( what I use) the wick and coil can easily last a month or more with just a quick dryburn and rinse in an RDA.

I used rebuildables on egos for a long time, I know your choices are limited but there are a few even designed for it and they range from drippers to tanks like the Kayfun mini and the taifun GS

After owning many tanks and rdas, I've really grown fond of rtas. 50 watt with the lemo 2. Easy to make coils on and great juice flow.

Thank you for suggestions everyone

This is something what i wanted to hear :)

It's a great way to get your feet wet in the coil building aspect as well as being able to customize your vaping experience. I would stick to 28 gauge wire or smaller (bigger numbers)
I was thinking about buying some pre-made Kanthal wire-and-wick of 1.8 ohm initially to keep vaping in the mean while I would try to make some of my own.
Thank you for the advice @Sgt.Rock

By rewick you mean change the wick daily or change the complete coil ?

You build and run you Atomizer based on the capacity of your battery NOT THE MOD or the Atomizer.
I got 2200mah battery don't know about Watt, it has VV from 3.3 to 4.8
by using some online calculations from mah to amps and multiplying it with my volts i think it gives a little over 10watts
but i am still not sure as I just saw an Istick with 20W and same battery power of 2200mah :s lol I am confused

Thanks for the suggestions @93gc40

A coil can last for a long time once you build your RDA. I have gone months on the same Kanthal coil. When talking about rewicking, that is the act of removing the old wick from the coil and inserting new wicking material. When you remove the old wick, just fire up your battery or mod to burn any built up gunk off the coil and then install the new wick. A lot of folks, me included, use organic cotton. I started with organic cotton balls from Walgreen's and now use Japanese cotton pads, cut to size. It's really very simple and there are tons of youtube videos to get you started.

Thanks for the suggestion, actually as I am new to it and also there are not many options available here, so I am thinking before investing a lot of money in it. also after looking at online prices it looks vaping stuff is quite expensive here.
on the other hand I have option to order from an online Chinese/Hong Kong website, I don't know if they are reliable or not ?
not pasting the url it is called fast tech (sorry moderators if it is not allowed to type names)

Thanks @gpjoe

hmm it looks nice
Thanks for the suggestion but Lemo is not available here
only options available are kayfun mini lite and kayfun 3.1

To run 1.5 or 1.8 ohm coils on an ego sized battery you just need to use the right gauge wire.
I suggest 30 gauge kanthal.
With better hardware you could run thicker wire like 28 gauge.

I've use fasttech a lot, as have many people here.

I think you should get the rda. Easier to learn on.
I wouldn't recommend an regular kayfun unless maybe the kayfun4.

Dear all,

Here is new update, I changed my juice and it has much better vapor, i would say smooth vapor
It has printed vg/pg mix on this bottle it is tobacco flavor (deluxe)

My all other liquid bottle has nothing mentioned in it about pg or vg and my vape shop guy said nothing written means 50/50

It looks I am also using wrongs juice or the tobacco flavor is always different?

Istick 30 watts is available here but it is costing $66 on online shops I saw 50W at $44 i think but there comes the shipping issue
Only one Mec mod is available here Stringry clone which costs $40 without battery or charger.

I am trying to get used to of vaping before putting in some more money
my ego and genitank mini cost me $55

Thanks for the reply edyle
it means I can order from them and get the supplies ? They are verified people?

If I can buy from there it is great than, right now I will buy a cheaper rda like Omega from local shop and in mean time order a better battery and RTA or RDA from fasttech.

That would be much better option

It can take months for stuff to get to me from fasttech; with the $1 swiss post option it comes in 6-8 weeks.
Try to get a replaceable battery mod; you can get that from fasttech, but look for 18650 batteries locally where you are; there is a problem if you order batteries or eliquid from fasttech- you can't use the fast swisspost option.

the istick30 for $66 doesn't sound like a bad deal in Pakistan; but don't waste money on a mech mod for $40.

Fast tech are ok , Ive got most of my packages from them although I currently am waiting on one that no one can find.
Don't know if there is an issue with importing vaping items into Pakistan or its hard finding stores that deliver there.

Fast tech starts off in US currency.
