Hello all,
I'm pretty new to vaping and like building things. I just built a dual coil set for my Igo-W but the flavor is off. I believe it's off more for the power it's running at than anything else.
I've read hear that the ideal target coil consists of between 10-12 wraps. I just wrapped 2 coils on a 2mm screw driver with .28 K-1 Kanthal and it came in at 1.1ohm with 12 wraps.
Previously, I had coils that were 6-8 wraps of .32 K-1 on the same 2mm form. They were around 1.4ohm and worked just "ok" i guess. I really like how much vapor the new coils put out but it's such a "hot" vape that the flavor is lost.
My question would be, can I add a "kick" to my Magneto and throttle this build back to around 9-10 watts and get a better vape? Or would the reduction in power not fire my dual coils?
Thanks...
Scott
