rda questions

So I have a 134 mini by innokin. Right now I have several different tanks that I use but I want to step it up a little. Is it possible to use an rda with the 134 mini? I also read that they leak often. If so that would be an issue. I always have it in my pocket. I hear and rda gives better flavor and vapor but I'm not sure if it's the right way to go. I have quite a few aspire tanks and hear great things about the new bvc coils as well. Any advice? Thanks

There's 2 or 3 options available to you if you wish to continue using your iTaste 134:

  • Get an Aspire Nautilus with the vertical-coil/ceramic-wick Nautilus replacement BVC coils. These are "revolutionary" if I may use that word to describe them. They put clearomizers up to nearly RBA status in flavor and vapor production, yet still retaining the simple plug & play of a clearomizer.

  • The protection circuitry of your regulated mod will limit the resistance that you can build a coil to. 1.3 ohms is about as low as you'll be able to build your coil to with a rebuildable drip atomizer. That's not bad at all, as you can get a very nice vape with that resistance. But most people use rebuildable drip atomizers with mechanical mods so that they can bypass the protection circuitry that regulated mods have so they can build sub-ohm coils. You'll be making your own coils and wicks (rebuilding).

  • Get a Kayfun-style tank atomizer. These rebuildable tanks perform best and were designed for a resistance between 1.0 - 2.0 ohm. That's in the ball park for a regulated mod like your 134. You'll need to learn a little Ohm's Law, how to wrap a Kanthal wire coil and how to make a cotton wick.

Absolutely.

Well they don't have a closed tank; they have a juice well; if you flood out the juice well and don't vape it, it will probably leak if you're moving around with it.

If you feel that you get frustrated with flooding or dry hits with tanks, and rda is like getting manual transmission instead of automatic transmission so you control the flow instead of depending on the wicking to draw the right amount of liquid from the tank to the coil.
