Hey guys, I hope someone can help me here. I been vaping a few months now and mainly use the T3S's, MT3's, CE4 + 5's. I have a Patriot and a TOBH and cant use them. They have good coils in the, one is at .18 and they vape fine. The problem is my lungs cant handle them.

Yesterday I was testing some juices I mixed up on a smok 306 dripper. Im able to put 5 or 6 drips on it, puff it a few times and get a real good idea of the taste. After I was done I dripped some ITC Berserker on the 306 and I couldnt believe how awsome it taste. I been vaping that for a few days in a G5-H2 and its great but when dripping it, it was out of this world with suptle flavors showing up that it didnt have before. I got my TOBH out, rewicked it, dripped a good bit of Berserker on it, Took a hit of it and proceeded to gag. The flavor was awesome but my lungs cant handle the volume.

Here is where I need the help. At the time I cant use a regular RDA because of my lungs. Yet I can use a 306 dripper all day long with no problems so are there any mini RDA's out there that dont hit like a frieght train yet delivers that great flavor from a dripper? I have a caravela and a tree of life so throwing the power to it isnt a problem.

I tried them up to 1.8 ohms and thats not the problem, the volume is. If I cover 4 of the 6 holes on my TOBH it helps but still too much for me. Smoked for 40 years and recently quit but will take a while for my lungs to rejuvinate.
Yet I can hit the 306 or any tank all day long with not even a little cough which is why i am wondering about mini RDA's.

I always use a 50/50 mix with anywhere from 6 mg to 18 mg nicotine. I try to stay around 10mg most of the time but tis the same juice I use in my cartomizers. I have good vapor output from them on a cartomizer with no gagging.

The thing is I can take the same juice that I like using in my TS3 or pro tank or even aspire and I try them on the Smok 306 and its way better flavor to me. I try them in the TOBH or Patriot and its like an explosion of flavor in my mouth that I can not inhale at all. Usually I average 7 to 12 ml juice consumption a day with no problems but I want to be able to find a small dripper a little larger than the Smok 306 where I dont have to rejuice it every 3 to 4 hits on it.

If you like the Magma, check out the Origin V2. I've got both (as well as a Stillare, which is probably alot like your TOBH) - I find the former two similar. Both are recognised for flavour (moreso the Magma), both have more restrictive airflow that you might appreciate in your situation, and as much as I'm happy to say that the Magma's hype is well deserved, I've become more and more attached to the Origen.

Your attys "hit like a freight train" for a few reasons.

Outside of cloud chasing, .18ohm is rather extreme. On a good mech you are nearing 90w.
Try bumping up your resistance A LOT.

Put .18ohm coil on a mini dripper with restrictive airflow and I'm pretty sure you will just end up catching on fire.

Another general concept to consider is more power = less nic. While 18mg might be fine for most using a carto or clearo tank it will BURN like hell on a subohm dripper.

For most folks that subohm 6mg is considered high.

E liquid that is high in PG tends to make your vape harsher (throat hit) as well, especially in a dripper.

All other things being equal, a tighter airflow setting and smaller chamber usually mean stronger throat hit as well.

So all in all I am willing to bet dollars to donuts it's not the gear, it's how you are using it.

I second the guys saying that 0.18 ohms is too low.

In my opinion there is a world of difference between that low and something like 0.5 ohms. Also with the gear you listed going from the other things you use to 0.18ohm dripper is a big leap.

Try a single coil somewhere 0.6 - 1.0 ohm and also lower the nic of the juice. I vape 12mg or 6mg in a clearomiser, 6mg or 3mg in a kayfun and 3mg or lower in a dripper.

Another thought as to why it might be too extreme for you is are you sure your wicking is getting enough juice to the coil? 0.18ohms will use juice quickly and if it isn't getting enough juice it will be a harsh vape. If you take a series of short drags (maybe a second max) and it tastes better/less harsh than longer drags then you need more wick or a better wicking material.

I took some 28 Kanthal wire and did 5 wraps single coil that came out at .89 ohms on the TOBH. Took a drag on it and was the same thing. Mouth hits without inhaling had excellent flavor but the second I tried to inhale I started choking. Later today i will mix up some 70 VG/30 PG at 3mg nic and see how it does.

I mixed up some 70/30 at 3mg juice and tried it earlier and gagged. Then I got to thinking about it. I mixed up pumkin spice and maybe it was the flavor getting me so mixed up a batch of 70/30 peach cheesecake that ended up being a lil over 2 mg nicotine and tried it. A mouth hit and inhale, not happening. But a lung hit 3 to 5 seconds long I can do. Kinda uncomfortable at first but got better. Then was able to start lite mouth hits and inhale. The taste is unreal, which is the reason I wanted to use these drippers.
I have the magna and 4 diferant mini RDA's coming and shouldnt have any problems enjoying the full flavors of my juices while dripping them.

Thanks guys for the help and patience.
