RDA's and Variable Mods

I just started working at a new shop and one of our first customers came in wanting me to rebuild a dual coil on his Igo-w clone. But he wants it on his Variable voltage Tesla. All the wraps i know how to do are sub ohms that dont work on variable mods. Any help would be appreciated

There are those here who have much more coil building knowledge than I.. but I use an RDA on a regulated mod and I just use a single micro-coil at around 1.5 (+/- .2) and I get excellent flavor and actually really nice vapor.. if I were building double coils I'd build them at around 3 so it would still work out around 1.5 combined and my mod could still fire them.

Any info on how to build 3ohm coils. i would go single but he already drilled dual air holes

use 30 or 32 awg Kanthal, should be able build over a one ohm dual setup that way, just use a large size micro coil for the duals. If you use at least 3 inches of 30 for the wraps you will get a 2.09 ohm coil, 3 inches of 32 would net a coil of 3.27 ohms so dual 32 gauge would be 1.64 ohms and dual 30 would get you 1.04 ohms. Depending on the regulated, some will even fire at less than 1 ohm.

I use a spreadsheet like This one that I found here on the forum according to this it would probably be best to use 32g kanthal at 8 wraps with 2mm inner diameter.. since I've only got 30g at the moment I'd have to make a slightly silly 13 wrap coil over 2mm ID
