I have new KFL+ Black Edition that I've been having taste issues with. It's set up with 1.9 microcoil/organic cotton. Initially I got a burnt taste issue but sorted that out by lifting the coil higher, adjusting the airflow, and lowing the voltage. Now I have a machine oil taste, not strong but enough to ruin my vape. I'm going to disassemble and clean again but one of my problems my be my liquid. I've been using the same liquid bottle on this atty since I got it and after every cleaning, adjusting, wick changing, etc. I've been pouring the liquid from the tank back into that same bottle. Could I have contaminated the liquid in the bottle that way? I'm wondering if I'm carrying over some of the bad taste from previous builds by using the recycled liquid. I don't buy giant bottles and I need to conserve my liquid. Throwing out 4.5mls after every rebuild seems excessive to me. I am I wrong in this?

Thanks for your help and opinions.

I have a IGO-W3 with 2 Twisted 28 Gauge Coils, I've used cotton, ekowool, still, just lots of bad taste.
I've tried threading it through the coils, under, etc. I need help. Please & Thanks![/QUOTE
At first all coils taste bad, after you break them in they run great. Are you still having problems say a day later?

Try some of the ejuice on another device. Obviously if you can taste it on a different device the liquid is contaminated. But it would not hurt to give your Kayfun another cleaning since I've read that those have to be very very thoroughly cleaned in order to get rid of all the machine oil.

Stating a question is dumb, and slandering it, makes the speaker seem ignorant.
My IGO-W3 has been with me for months, i've cleaned it many of times, i usually smell it
and it has been a bad smell for quite awhile, in a few minutes, instead of using twisted,
ill build two micro coils, and then watch videos on how they wick them. I'm about 3
months into rebuildables, but just got my mech mod.

he wasn't saying the OPs question was dumb. He was saying HIS question was dumb, as in, "this might be a dumb question but...."

Also Here's The Info; 1.4 Ohms, Cotton Wrapped Around & Under, But Not Through, To Act As A Air Chamber.
Ekowool, With Cotton Inside, Tasted Like Pure ....., Silica To You Guys Is Better?

1.4 ohms;
4 volts:
that works out to about: 11 watts.

cotton wrapped around and under but not through.....

huh??? Is it a vertical coil on a kayfun?
did you dryburn to check for hotspots before wicking?

You should if not already then soon be able to post in the coilbuilds forum:

Sounds like the wick is not working properly. Maybe try another wicking material for that particular set up, or try threading the microcoil with ekowool.

Here's Rip Trippers doing a double dragon coil, which involves creating something like an air chamber. Note how fluffy his wick is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmzSy2JHmuA
