Hello, after much research I have decided to go with the Joye 510 w/ PCC instead of that crappy Blu rip-off. I had one question though... after I use the initial 510 Carts, could I fill them up with a different flavor? I was thinking I could pull the cotton out with tweezers, wash them, dry for 40-ish hours, then just use it like a normal blank cart? I don't feel like buying new empty carts, rather just fill up the ones I got :D. Sorry if this makes no sense, but i'm PRETTY sure thats how these things work..

Yep....you take them out, rinse them under warm/hot-ish water and then just let them dry overnight. No 40 hours needed. Heck, you can even blot them off on paper towel and start vaping with them right away. juice may flow a bit fast at first but it settles out by the next refill.

I've been using the same 10 carts I started with for about a year now - just bought new filter material (fish tank filter) and restuffed them.

Welcome to ECF!!

I've been re-filling my empty 510 carts since day one. If I change flavor, I just pull out the filling, rinse it with water and then dry it by pressing it in a paper towel until dry. I fill the empty cart with 7 to 8 drops of the new e-liquid, re-insert the filling (flush with the top of the cart) and add a few more drops to the top of the filling until it pools.

No need for the 40-ish hour dry that you mention (unless I've mis-understood you). When changing flavors, I usually blow out the atomizer too just to get rid of any of the old flavor. I got 50 loaded carts when I bought my set-up so I've been re-filling them with new flavors as I buy them. This has been working well for me so far. I'm waiting for some cartomizers I've ordered....not sure how to change flavors with these, but I'll figure it out.

I have 2 atomizers on the go at the same time. 1 for Tobacco flavours and the other for all other flavours - and this seems to help!

The cart is actually 3 pieces which you can take apart when you wash...if you want.
Put a paperclip stem in the bottom mouth hole and pull out, put into deeper hole and pull that one out too. Soak in hot water.

the "40 hours" comes from the fact that you want the filler material to be as dry as possible in order to hold more juice, if the individual fibers are too wet with water say, they won't hold juice, too wet with juice, they won't wick properly, etc, eventually the fibers degrade and won't work right

I figure I wash and reuse original filler maybe 3 times, I also like fluval too as YKnot said

As others have mentioned, you don't need to dry filler for any amount of time really, just squish it between a paper towel a few times until it leaves no more water behind when you squish it.

As for washing it in the first place, it really isn't necessary unless you want to. If your flavors are complimentary, you might find some nice combinations this way.
