OK so got everything back together and now of course I have a new problem lol...some prints got on the inside of the plastic window and I'll be damned if I'm taking this off again. Do the q-tips on provapes website reach between the screen cover and the actual screen itself so you can wipe over the screen at all? I want to know before I buy them, I can't find any long q-tips locally or any that would be thin enough to fit between the screen cover and the screen itself.

Cleaning Kit

Thanks!

On good terms with your dentist? Maybe a dna buccal swab?

Or your local Walgreens? Medline Cotton Tipped Applicators | Walgreens :D

I've called all the drug stores around here lol, nobody has long q-tips and thought I was nuts for asking lol. My dentist would be even more strange, I guess I'll just order them for ProVape, damn the wait, I want this device to be perfect already! Fix one problem then another one pops up...

Are you talking about like j-b weld where you mix to small amounts together and then apply it?

No. I said epoxy. It does come in 2 parts, and you mix them in equal amounts. It sets clear, usually, and sets in about 5min if you buy the quick-set type. It says it on the package.

I can't believe that you would rip open a $200 mod without the proper materials to repair it. You don't have much understanding of popular adhesives on the market. I don't mean to seem harsh, but, really, why wouldn't you have sent it to the manufacturer for repair instead of going in ill-prepared and half-blind? It just doesn't make sense to me.

I hope you get this issue resolved without trashing a highly regarded mod.

the window on the battery end looks blocked on both my mini and standard not really sure its going to fit without being able to bend the tip.
why not just cut the end off a plastic q-tip and slide it over a long unfolded large paperclip with some glue and bend the end a little so it can slide in from the battery tube and get it from the side?

Yes I went ahead and removed it again, apparently the alcohol ruined the inside of the screen cover (don't ask me how) so I had to order a new one from ProVape today. I do not advise anyone doing "alcohol baths" in these things regardless of what ProVape suggests. I used the 99 percent that they suggested and it made a huge mess with the cover. I guess April fools got one over on me this year...
