Hi all,

I tried to post in the Newbies forum but can't seem to figure out how to. So I'm posting here. I'm actually not technically a newbie bc I was vaping way back in 09 with the first waves of ecigs. vaping helped me kick the cigarettes (used to call them analogs, do you still call them that?). Then I stopped vaping since the craving was gone. I stayed smoke-free for years until a few months ago when I was in a car accident (luckily no major injuries) and dealing with repairs and doctors and such, and added to it I was in the midst of buying a house. The overwhelming stress led me to smoke again.

After a couple months of smoking 1-3 cigarettes a day, I decided to turn back to vaping. WOW! Has the vaping world changed or what?!?! I'm happy to see the technology has progressed drastically, but better yet, there are local stores that I can go into and try out some juices before buying? WOWOW!! How cool is that? I used to have to blind buy to try anything. And the batteries have displays on them to adjust everything! Amazing!!! Feels like I've been cryogenically frozen and thawed out... Everything is new and cool!!

Anyhoo, I stopped in a store and bought a JoyeTech AIO just so I can stop smoking cigs immediately. It's nice and easy to use, but it's making some gurgling bubbling noises on a couple juices, and with one juice in particular, I'm getting a little juice in my mouth... I'm not sure if it's the AIO or the juice. I kinda want a Cuboid and Cubis, just purely based on the YT vids I saw.

Anways, just a quick (or not so quick) hello to all the folks here!

welcome back. I believe after a certain number of posts (or a certain amount of time being a member) you are no longer allowed to create new threads in the new member section (you can still reply in threads however).

the cuboid is a nice dual battery mod, fires up to 200W with the update (but with 20A batteries you're better of staying below 120-150W, not that most of us go that high for our daily vape).

There are a plethora of mods out there to suite your taste, all depends on what you're main criteria is. Form factor? Built in battery? single, dual, triple 18650? Detailed customization like the evolve DNA200/75 or Yihi SX350j v2 / SX450j offers? Accurate temperature control? The list just goes on and on.

If budget was NOT an issue and you're into sub ohming with low resistance coils (whether prebuilt or DIY) I would most def recommend a mod with an evolve dna200 or 75 chip.

If budge is an issue you still have alot of great mods out there that cost less than $50 shipped.

I'm from Naperville, IL as well, living on South Side of Chicago currently.

I got started by buying gear at Gray Haze on Ogden Ave in Naperville.

B/c I live in Chicago and the folks are still in Naperville, I've hit quite a few shops btw the two locations. I'd visit the shops and sit down and try everything they had.

Since 2009 a lot has changed, and the FDA is going to be cracking down on vaping. Read up by going up to the top right and querying for the term, "DEEMING."
