Hi Guys.

I've been using my Black SB for the past month and a half or so. Have both the 3.7 amd 6v options in use. Past couple of days i notice the atomizer is 'missing' alot at 6v vaping.

By missing I mean when I press the button, you can hear the attie sizzle for a couple of seconds, then it goes dead. Pressing the button again after that makes it lasts even shorter and shorter.

I've had no issues at 3.7v, so its not a contact point problem. In addition, i've tried fresh atties along with a freshly charged pair of batteries.

Any clue as to what might be up with it?! Much appreciated!

I have heard some of these batteries, I think the 900 Mah have to be reset for some reasons by placing them back in the charger when this happens for a second or two. Dont know why but have heard that,

Not sure if this is your problem.

After the sizzle for a couple of seconds will the atty fire again on next push of the switch?

You might want to go with the LifePO4 750Mah Tenergy batteries. I never have one problem with them.. The yellow and silver ones.

The 900mAh batteries have a protection circuit that will trip from time to time. This happens more frequent with the 510 atty. Be sure to clean your atty connector out in the SB as well.

I ordered 2 pairs of the Tenergy 900mAh RCR123A 3.0v batteries. Tried both. Seem to be similar results.

What causes the misfiring though? Could it be some issue with the switch?

The protection circuit in the battery(CR123) tripping. If your switch was a problem it would be a problem with the 18650 battery as well. Be sure to clean your atty connector on the SB with a q-tip as well.

mine has done this a few times. just twice! if it happends just take ur batterys out and put them back in. i think sometimes they just dont get a good connection. this usually happends when i put a new pair in (tenergy cr123 3.0v silver n yellow). if so ill put them in nothing, re set the betterys and no problems at all!! its really no biggie! love the sb!!

definitaly keep the connector clean, I'm using lifepo4 750's and 900 Mah's, but remember a couple of things, first try keeping your Batts in pairs I number mine with 1,2,3 and use the one then twos then threes all in pairs and keep them that way. Second try using the HV Atty's when at the 6v, I have about 50 of these and have only used two of them one for each flavor I vape, let me tell ya they kick some ... on the 6v vaping. My new SB is absolutely the best PV I have had and I also own a GGT and a GLV for 6v vaping. this Silver Bullet is put together and machined like a total CHAMP.. Nice Work CDDZ.!!!

Chad: Thanks for clearing that bit out! Yes I'll be investing in the 750mAh batteries soon. The battery circuit tripping makes sense.

The SB has been great other than that. What are the HV atties that your refer to? High voltage, i'm assuming, but which ones are these?

It seems that the tripping happens alot more when the atty heats up. so each subsequent drag is shorter and shorter.
