I love my 808 cartos but so far the only place I can use them is at my computer or with a passthrough. I really want to use them with my GLV but the draw is very hard. I made sure and got the ones with the holes in them but still hard with my GLV and even a ego batt. am I missing something?

Is there a special 808-d carto secret society I don't know about?

Help is needed in a hurry.

Thanks

Count on an extra pack of cartos in your stocking after Christmas. lol
I changed your order to 10 low and 10med to 10 and 15. hows that for instant gratitude. lol

Thank you

Well thanks Crimmy! That is awfully nice of you! I was so happy a couple of months ago when I saw that video as I was trying to use my 808's on my EGO. I stumbled across it and it worked!
Glad I could help and Merry Christmas! :)

I love my 808s on my GLV.I also love the adapter adjust trick.LOL.

Now the 808 on the GLV seem to be a bit much. some flavors taste burnt and some taste better. but all in all they mostly taste burnt.
One thing is I like mild flavors like peanut butter and toffee and some butter finger cinnamon roll and those type of flavors and do taste burnt at a full 5v, I use a passthough when sitting at my computer (and thats most of the time) and the 5v PT seems to run actually at 4.7-4.8 and that seems best for my flavors. but my GLV is great for the more powerful flavors like tobacco and anything minty or cinnamon so that is cool.

thanks all

Hey Crimmy, I have been in the same boat. Lately I've mostly been using my passthrough, but still like to go with the GLV2 at certain times, I also mostly use 808s, and more recently have been experiencing a distinct burnt taste pretty quickly with many of my flavors. Thought it might be the PG/VG mix of the juice, and that could be part of it, but I'm also thinking it is the Resistance of the cartos I'm using (V4L Coolcarts), I do find that certain strong flavors, the Cinnamons, Minty, and actually the Mountain Mist/Pop (I just tried Ms T to see if there is a difference) flavors work well.

I also just got a Vapemate to try (actually the first thing I've tried before Mutt, but only by a day, as I seem to follow his recommendations) and what I have found is that at 5v and dripping with a HV Atty all of the flavors are really good, but do seem to burn out quicker than those other flavors.

Thanks HwyJ Yes it is both the resistance and higher vg in the mix. I like 50/50 pg/vg. more vapor. but burns a bit easier. Although I love the flavor in the 808's I am hoping that the new clear C-E2 ones are much better at 3.0.

I have loved my GLV sense I got it. and will not put it down. I put a lanyard hole in my new GLV and love it hanging from my neck plus it will not fall out of my pocket and if it does then cool it will not hit the floor. saves on the paint. lol

See ya

OK so I saw this thread before I ordered everything. I got a 510 bat to 801/808 atty adapter so I could try out some 808 cartos. I got 2 packs in black and 2 packs in stainless. When I inserted the adapter in the black ones and plug the hole in the bottom of the adapter I have a draw. When I tried the stainless ones in the adapter and plug the hole I get no draw. I watched the video and tried the trick with the screwdriver to adjust it, but the center piece of the adapter is not threaded. it actually has a silcone collar which holds the center post in the adapter so it is very hard to adjust in small increments. I got my adapter from GoodPhrophets. is there somewhere I can get an adapter where the center post is actually threaded so I can have some finer adjustment?

Take a look at this video and see if it helps - it worked for me!

YouTube - S2V cartomizer adapter airflow adjustment

I am so glad you posted this! When I first saw this post, it didn't really apply to me because all the adapters that I have used were good on the draw. However, I just got some 801 attys and 510/801 adapters in the mail and it was like sucking straight air through a straw. I remembered your post, got a little screwdriver, and viola!, problem solved! Nice, tight draw now! Now I just can't wait to see how these chrome 801 attys are going to look on my matte black GLV2 when it comes!

Thanks Freaky! Glad I could help - I was so glad to find it when I had problems. Congrats on the GLV2! Happy Vapin'!
