I've been vaping for almost two years now, but I've been moving at a very slow pace. I used Mistics, then a cheap starter kit with cheap clearomizers, then a 900 variable voltage Evod, and now use two Vision Spinner 2s. I now use the Smoktech Micro ADC II tank, of which i use 7 different colors to coordinate different flavors. I had been contemplating moving to the Vapros Nunchaku (which I had seen unofficially referred to as the Spinner 3), but I read some less than stellar reviews on the product, including burning up coils quickly.

I am hoping to put out some things I am looking for in a vapor set up and get some recommendations from some more experienced folks. I could be happy with either a mod set up or another ego style. So please be kind, I am still learning :p

What I'm looking for:
1) stick/tube style - don't really care for the box types
2) an accurate battery meter, the firing button lighting up in 3 different colors isn't quite accurate enough for me
3) simplistic to use - some of my juices work better at 3.8v on the spinner 2, but 4.3v for other flavors. I would like to be able to switch the amount of power easily, like when I'm driving. some mods I've looked at make it look difficult in scrolling through menus to adjust the power
4) easy to change tanks on the move - I typically will carry 2 different tanks to alternate flavors during the day.
5) long battery life. The spinner 2 at 1600mah does well, so I don't really want to go below that. I don't like having to find a charger or carry my other spinner 2 in case one battery runs out.
6) On some of my cheaper ego batteries, the pin would sink. A spring loaded connector pin might be nice.
7) not grossly oversized, easy enough to carry in my pocket.

Tanks: I like my ADC II's, but am open to suggestions
1)durability - I like keeping an extra tank in my pocket, so an all glass probably wouldn't work out well for me
2) Rebuildable coils - I was able to rebuild the coils on my old ARO tanks (with the help of the prewired wicks on fasttech), but the construction of the ADC Micro II makes rebuilding impossible. Saving money by replacing the wicks would be nice.
3) not really into dripping, i like the ease of switching tanks and vaping away.
4) cost - since I have over a dozen flavors I regularly vape, I generally will keep similar flavors in the same tank, and alternating them (fruits, tobaccos, desserts, etc).

So any good recommendations for me? Would the Vapros Nunchaku work well (I'm not sure the effect the variable wattage vs voltage effect would have on my dual coil ego tanks)
Thanks in advance.

Power:
1) vamo, sigelei zmax, svd2 ; but from what you've said, consider the istick too.
2) battery charge displays on the screen on many mods nowadays.
3) easy to change voltage or power on the vamo and I presume the svd; displayed on screen.
4) change tanks- unscrew one, screw on the other; but my recommendation is minimize screwing/unscrewing of the 510 connector;
you could even just leave the base of the tank on the mod in most bottom coil clearos and just change the top part of the tank, although that's almost as much work as refilling the tank.
5) typical capacity of 18650 batteries nowadays is over 2000 mah; my old red efests are 2000mah; my newer efests are 2500mah.
6) pin sinking is a problem with the 510 connector design which is really a design for cigalikes;
a spring loaded or adjustable pin is still uncommon among regulated mods;
adjustable center pin is very common among mech mods.
the top 'beauty ring' on some regulated mods is important for preserving your 510 threaded connection;
on ego type batteries, a beauty ring helps.
7) the above mods are about 1 inch diameter, and 6 inches long;
some have a short mode option where you can use an 18350 battery instead of an 18650 battery, which makes it more like 4 inches long, but you then have maH more like an eGo battery.

Tanks:
Have a look at the kanger subtank; it comes with a truly rebuildable coil head with screws you can screw the coil down securely

Hey Putty!

While I would normally recommend an iStick 30 watt, I see you don't like box mods. I do however think you should search them on google or youtube - they are very small, not much bigger than a Bic lighter, and have a very nice shape in hand. Not boxy at all. They are the current favorite go-to introductory mod, and rightfully so - they have much better battery life than ego-pen style batteries and are extremely compact. Take a look, please, you might be surprised!

If on the other hand you are dead-set on something tube style, but you need longer battery life, there aren't really a lot of great choices. 1600mah is about the best you could hope for, and the favorites in that style generally have less (Innokin's Itaste VV4 is only 1000mah, but one of the better options). Other than the one that you mentioned, there is the Kanger IPOW 2 that you could look into which is 1600mah, and some lesser brand batteries that I wouldn't trust as "durable".

As far as tanks go, I can't think of anything that fits your criteria very well, as most of the current community favorite clearomizers are glass.

Variable wattage is just "autopilot" for voltage setting. When you change wattage, the mod will calculate what voltage is required to reach that wattage depending on the resistance (ohms) of the coil. The benefit here is that if you switch tanks, it will recalculate if you have a different resistance coil, providing the same vape experience. For your use, it'll be the same as voltage, just in different increments, so nothing terribly difficult.

I wish I could be of more help, but your requirements are tough to meet in a market that is full of box mods and glass clearomizers now - there are very few items that meet your requests.

There aren't a lot of tube mods anymore with those features. Usually you have to enter a menu to make changes.

A small box mod may interest you. Take a look at the Sigelei mini, istick 30W, ipv mini, mvp 20 or 30W.

Tanks...not sure because most are glass. The Kanger Aerotank MOWs have SS around the glass so are pretty sturdy.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm guess I'm kind of looking for a reason NOT to buy a vapros nunchaku, as that seems like it has most of what I want. The vamo and the svd 2.0 both look like great options, as I like the idea of having a fire button as well as an up and down feature as opposed to setting it through a menu. Any other pros or cons to upgrading to a mod like that?

I like the vamos; they're low cost; several of the pcb board modules can be gotten on fasttech- so I can open up an old vamo and put in a new board; or I can cut and drill out a mech mod and stick in the board; only problem I see is getting the buttons or a good replacement. The control buttons are on the board btw, so you don't have to run wires from the board to the buttons/switches; you do have to run wires towards the topcap though; maybe someday they'll design the top more like a kick module: then it would become like a kick module complete with a screen and convenient control buttons - best of both worlds.
They had a history of soft 510 threads that might strip out and poor centerpin insulator about a year ago, but haven't been hearing much of that lately; lots of versions have been coming out almost a new one a month recently; they're up to vamo 10 now.
They are not made by 1 company; the original manufacturer is reputed to be Kangside, and you can get Kangside vamos also called KSD; I've also seen ISK vamos; when you check the vamo firmware revision on the pcb board it might say "KSD".

The SVD is an Innokin product; Innokin is a reputable company; producers of the Itaste vv v3, vv v4, MVP, VTR, SVD, and the iClear line of tanks; I don't have one, so can give more details.

The vapro nunchaku looks like junk honestly. As a former Vamo owner, I'd advise you to avoid that one too. My SVD served me well, on the other hand, and if you must have a big tube the SVD 2.0 seems like the best option--innokin makes pretty solid devices.

At the end of the day, the best investment is going to be Sigelei mini 30w which offers a yihi chip and replaceable 18650 battery. Yeah, it's boxy but it's tiny and will fit in the palm of your hand (silver looks nicer than the black which is pictured below.) The performance of the yihi chip will rock your socks and the fit and finish quality of the latest sigelei boxes is astonishing. A close second would be the ipv mini which is less boxy but still features the yihi chip. Both run a spring loaded 510 pin.

for size's sake, perhaps a mini box mod might be suitable, the ipv mini and sigelei mini both look like they might work well for me.

any issues with those running the micro adc II tanks? (i already have a 510-to-ego adapter)

Should be fine on lower setttings below 10w.

You're gunna wanna upgrade your atomizers eventually to get the most out of those beautiful mods!

Remember to get a battery when you order either of those...18650 high drain. After you install the battery, you can charge them via usb port. You might want to get a pair of 18650s so you have one as backup!

If you get the sigelei mini, I'm going to be super jealous. :vapor:

Made the jump and ordered a ipv mini in gold on sale for $40 at 101 vape. The sigelei looked nice, but I liked the rounded edges of the ipv more. I'm going to run it with the smoktek micro adc II's for a few months, then move up to other tanks. I'll post a review after I get it.
i also ordered 2 Samsung 25r 18650 batteries from illumn for $6 each and a charger.

Thanks to everyone who added their recommendations, I didn't think I'd go for a boxier mod but I think this is going to work out well for me.

If you like the ego twist style batt, I'd suggest the C-Fiber 30w. The only thing it doslesnt have is a screen, its a big Vision that twist up to 30w. It fires down to .4, which is nice because it fires all the subtanks. Kinda sucks it doesnt have an ohm reader, if you got into building steam-engine would be fine this mod. Its a 2400mah pass through battery which is a hugh +. When i borrowed 1 i could get a full day of work plus a cpl hours after before I need to plug it in. Thats really good for me cuz I chain vape, i was also using a .6 dual coil at bout 27w.. Cranked all the way up it felt like a true 30w, hit harder then my cloupor and was righ on par with my Sig30, at the same wattage.

I was pretty sad when I had to return it to my buddy. I love my mechs and reg boxes, but ive wanted a 30w+ reg tube mod, the market is pretty limited for this.

My B&M has them for a $38, so I will either pick this up or the Kbox. Both cheap, nice looking and will both produce my desired wattage.

Made the jump and ordered a ipv mini

I really hope you get a good 1 and ur tanks and attys sit flush. I ordered the Mini2 and was so excited to get get, felt like a kid running to the mailbox. Then I went and threw my Igo W on it and it was crooked, tried atty after atty and nothing sit right. Thing worked great, has perfect hand feel for me, but that millimeter gal drove me crazy. Luckily MyVapeStore mad it right, by offering an exchnge, shipping label was created 3hrs ago so the wait begins again
