Please Recommend Me an APV

Basically I've been vaping about 3 months now and I'm down to one eGo battery again as my iTaste VV has broken. I'm a fairly heavy vaper, I go through maybe 4-5ml a day and I've found that my Spinner 1300 (the only working battery I have left) sometimes doesn't even last out the whole day. So I'd like to move it up a step. Basically my requirements are:

* Must have a battery capacity substantially in excess of 1300 mAh
* Must be fairly durable and well made, I've already had 2 eGo batteries brake on me now in 3 months of vaping
* Must have VV function and preferably VW as I like to Vape at about 4.5V on the Spinner or 9.5W on the iTaste
* With regard to the button, would preferably have a comfortable easy to press button as I sometimes suffer from some RSI in my wrists. However I'd like a timeout function that works well as I can sometimes be forgetful with turning it off. Might not be such an issue with a bigger mod I suppose, as it probably won't fit in my pocket!

Those are the essentials, these are more optional preferences:
* Would like ohmmeter and for it to display battery cell voltage on request
* Prefer tube shape to box shape
* As this is a step up, would like to get better vapor production than from my eGos
* Would preferably be a pass-through although not essential
* Preferably available from the UK market
* With regard to cost, don't mind spending the money if its worth it, wouldn't pay just for the name, etc
* Not very bothered whether it has eGo threading as I only use 510 threading ATM.

As you can see I've got some idea of what I'm looking for but not nearly enough knowledge of what's out there and available. So any recommendations appreciated please or even links to pages that might help me choose.

The first mod that comes to mind would be the Innokin iTaste MVP2. Best bang for your buck in vaping.

MVP V2.jpgMVP_IBTanked.jpgInnokin_iTaste_MVP.jpgMVP_in_hand.jpg

  • 2600 mAh rechargeable internal battery will last 2 - 3 days on a charge.

  • Pass through option. Use your MVP while attached to its USB charging cord.

  • Variable voltage & variable wattage modes.

  • Built-in ohm reader.

  • Accepts both eGo and 510 juice attachment connections. Beauty ring/adaptor included for larger tanks. Kit comes with an iClear 30 clearomizer.

  • You can charge your cell phone or iPod with the MVP.

  • Still pocket-friendly size and shape (same size & shape as a pack of cigarettes).

  • Extremely popular for beginners and advanced vapers. Can be found on most e-cig vendor websites.

If you can swing the dollars, the Provari or Sigelei 20w would be a great choice. I have both and really like. They use the 18650 batteries and mine hold a charge the entire day. Batteries would probably last longer but I vape continuously at work and at home. You can also order a passthrough for the Provari. Quick learning curve on both. I use Protank 2, IBTanked, and Kayfun Lite+ on mine.

Baditude! Im honestly surprise you didnt recommend the Provari 2.5...

Based on your requirements, a provari 2.5 with an 18650 extended cap fits the bill perfect. It has VV, ohm meter, battery check, an with an 18650 at 2000mAh, you can easily squeeze a whole day of vaping out of one.

It is expensive, but it is also an incredibly good value for the money. It will last you years, and if u decide that its just not for u, it holds its value very well on the resale market. Youd be able to recoup 90-100% of your costs.

It uses 510 threading, can handle drops and being run over by a pickup truck, and it comes in a multitude of colors and options. And a free year warranty with a 2 year optional upgrade.

Now if that isnt for you, consider checking out the Sigelei 20 watt or the 7-22 mod. Both take 26550 batteries and last forever, but they are sunstantially larger in diameter. They go upto 20 watts.

Similar to the provari is the Semovar mod by Svöemesto out of germany. It is very similar tothe provari but a bit more versatile. I believe you can purchase them at www.shop.vaperev.com in the USA.

Now if you really wana go balls to the wall...check out the Pipeline Pro, also from germany. That thing is like a provari on speed and can handle just about anything, and is incredibly versatile.

Good luck in your search! Ihope you find the perfect APV!

I noticed that the OP is in the UK, and will have to pay high import tax to get a Provari, making it even more expensive than it already is.

The Semovar mod by Svöemesto is a Provari-like mod that the OP may be interested in. It may be cheaper than the Provari would be in the UK.

Consider an:
MVP2 2600mah high capacity vv vw passthrough battery
* yep
* yep
* yep yep
* dunno; I hear it's not a soft button.

* yep yep
* it's a box not a tube
* I suppose; higher capacity; higher current limit
* yep
* dunno but its popular so probably
* extremely cost effective; best bang for the buck in batteries
* has eGo and 510.

It is however a battery; essentially it is the big brother to your itaste vv v3.

For tube mods where you need to buy batteries and charger, there's the vamo and sigelei zmax, smoktech zmax. There's also the sid, svd, though the svd I keep hearing about quality control issues here.

In the UK, a high end mod would be the semovar.

Or seeing as you were not to keen on a box type mod, you could try the eVic you might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere

Oh; the evic features on board charging - which means it can plug in to charge like a passthrough;
it's not as tough as a steel sigelei zmax though;
it does have a big screen that displays stuff like ohms and volts etc instead of you having to press buttons to look for that kind of information.

Provari is on sale from outlets in the UK, but as per RIP OFF Britain the £1 = $1 instead of $1.50 so most places sell it for about £180, the Semovar can be had from C9V for about £140, that's why I recommended the eVic as it is only £80 from Joyetech UK

I think your best bet is the MVP v2.0. It's a box but it has every other feature you want and you can order it from fasttech for 1/2 the price you would pay in a store.

If you can afford it you might want to pick up a siglei or a provari. Just grab some extra batteries and a charger of course.

I haven't seen the MVP on FT recently, they do the Tmax but there have been some complaints about that one, although mine is still working at the moment

Thanks for the all the replies, I'm liking the eVic and the Sigeli 20W. At first I was thinking the Sigeli would be overkill for me (I'm not into RBA's or sub-ohm ATM) but then I thought, no if that's more durable (think it is from what I've read so far?) then its probably worth the extra money. Plus I won't end up upgrading it again in a couple of months. Might change my mind yet though, I've only had a quick look round so far based on the recommendations you've all given me, I'll have a more detailed read later.

The Sigeli seems a bit tricky to get straight from the UK but I'm sure I must be able to find an EU supplier somewhere which should exempt me from import taxes. Anyway, I'll update when I get a bit further with this.

MVP 2 was my first Mod after spinners. It satisfies all the requirements you mentioned ( except for being a box )
The funny thing is everyone says they don't like the boxey look...then they get it in their hand and can't figure out why they didin't get one sooner ;)
I would still get one even if you go with the Evic, you can never have too many back ups :rickroll:
