If you don't like the 510, boy wait till you try the other other options. I am using a cartomozier right now and it sucks, great TH, nice taste, get juice in the mouth, and no vapor. My 901's would make good vapor for a day or 2, then just get finicky. My 801 is great for one thing IMO, dripping. I have yet to find something that I like better then a 510, other then maybe Nhaler's magnum atty.

I used the 510 for 8 months and sometimes it is very inconsistent. I then ordered a Little Chuck "but" is switched to the Super 6 from Super T manufacturing and I love it. Great throat hit. It is one of the smallest mod made and weighs only 1.9 oz with batteries included. You can use 3.7 volts or a 6 volts. I use this exclusive and rarely use my 510 any more.

IMO you will be very satisfied with this mod.

ok here what i think even tho my choose of use is a 510 atty. i will recommend the 901 never disappointed me nore over impressed me when it come down to it its and overall good e cig, i would say also if you feel your not being satisfied please dont go back to anolog cigarettes i promise you if you get a higher voltage device or even 3.7v mod you will be happy depending on what you consider satisfying.

It would also help if you where to give us a little more details then we could recommend something more specific so far we recommended you a few and i don't think you want to buy all of them to test out lol.

Do you get problems with the atomizer? Like mine dies out quick and becomes weak. like ill get 1 fat satisfying rip and in a few mins it will turn into a piece of crap.

Suggestions welcome! I'm thinking about gettin teh screw driver, but that's the same thing as the joye 510. just longer batt life.

I HATE THE 510 ATOMIZERS! :[

Please no promoters. Just real legit feedback.

Hmm I'm curious what kind of juice are you using? Where did you get your 510 attys? I have some from thevaporpro.com and ecigsupply.com and both sets work well and have been working for over a month. Some things I have noticed about the 510... (you've been at this longer than I have so I don't doubt you may be in the know, but for what it's worth...)

I have to top off my carts OFTEN. It really sucks down the juice. I basically sit here with two 510s (usually different flavors), use one for a few min then let it sit in a cup battery side down, use the other for awhile, switch them... this seems to help the juice wick down to the atty between uses. When I've done that a few times and vapor/flavor starts dropping off, I refill my cart. I'm using PTB mod. I just set the cart on my desk and fill with several drops, wait a few secs for it to soak in, top off with a few more drops, then put it back on the atty and let it sit (battery side down) upright in the cup a few min.

So far this is the best way I have found to maximize the juice mileage.

I blow out/drain my attys nightly. About once a week I clean and do a dry burn on all my attys.

The other thing is there have been a few juices that have NOT made my 510 attys very happy. Certain brands, or perhaps it has to do with the flavor/color of the juice? I have heard dark juices gunk up the attys faster. Higher VG content is gunkier too (but I like the vapor, so I don't mind).

Personally, I think the 510 is the best for TH and flavor (of what I have) but I do wish it were a little BETTER on juice mileage. :) I'm getting ready to try cartos on a KR808D-1. We'll see... ;)

Anyway, best of luck!!!

I am fed up with the 510 also...

Burnt attys, bad TH. I went to a chuck and most of it got better.

I just got some KR808s out of the classifieds, and I have only used the 510 atty like 2x for comparison.

I do not think I will go back.

Chuck and Passthrough with the KR808 is AWESOME! LONG vape time between fills.

I'd go with the Greencig cartos on the kr808 battery. Don't have to worry about the cart burning. You can vape a greencig dry with no problem. Nhaler sells them.

Sorry...I got to stick up for my 510 right now...when it's good...I DON'T WANNA SMOKE. That pretty much says it all. I just purchased 25 atties....so hopefully that'll fix that problem. Wow...don't forget to switch old atties for new ones...I forgot how good new 510 atties are....

    Maureen

P.S. I'm gonna clean the old ones....if they die so be it...if they are good than that's awesome. Considering I used to smoke two packs a day....I could have two new atties a day for what I used to spend...hmm.

I mostly use the 510 when I am home, battery life still sucks but I have 4 batteries and a FL mod i made. The 510 I can comfortably keep between my teeth and just puff on.

The 808 I find easier to fool with when on the go, and they produce good vapor for me. Not 510 amount but I don't want to exhale clouds in the bar. TH i can't help you on cause I really just don't care about it.

Try this... can't imagine this failing you....

Get some empty/blank kr808 cartomizers... get your favorite juice... (mine is tasty finger or caramel popcorn or dulcis/RY4 or DK-TAB) use a syringe... get a few Batteries...

My blank ones work better than my recycled ones.

I'm only a month into this, but for me, this is better than cigarettes...

Some days it works well some days it annoys the crap out of me. I clean it all the time yet it is very inconsistent with the mount of smoke and flavor. Can any recommend me an ultra awesome e-cig? Preferably with one that comes with atomizers that don't taste like .... in beginning and has a long batt life? I've been off of cigs for over 7 months using the 510 and I need something with better quality.

If e-cigs dont work for me i'm resorting back to cigs or nicotine patch/gum/inhalers. Thanks in advance

KR808D-1 is my go to. I got a 510 and didn't like it. I don't like fiddling with stuff and the KR808D-1 words for me 100% of the time. I refill the cartos easily and the flavor is top notch.

I don't think I'll ever go use another 3 piece.

If you don't mind spending a bit more...My GreenCig is by far the closest to smoking a real cig. It's light...battery is good...PCC is perfect...carts last forever and I drip the battery end to refill. I paid $6.50 for a pack of cigs...so $3 for a carto that lasts me a full day of vaping and can be refilled over and over is fine with me.

I thought I was done with the 510, and I bought a Kr-808. Now the burning cartomizers issue is giving me second thoughts. So I bought an eGo, and it is not just another 510, it's altogether a different animal! Consider it.

Another good option if you've had it with the 510, and don't want the cartomizer issues, is the humble M40x. Still the flavour champ imho.

Trog's Screwdriver or the Silver Bullet.. both give you the option of 510 and 901 with an adaptor. You can get the Screwdriver in 901 and an adaptor for 510 and 801 and 808 cartomizers. Silver bullet comes in 510 but same adaptor issue will fit you with all options. Great battery life and flexibility. Adaptors are cheap anywhere from $2.99 to $10 each. My 2 cents.

This is confusing as hell. 808's 5k3's 592sljkd abc's jk35s. haha when i'm freed up ill research all of the ones you mentioned.

are any of the ones you guys listed have primer in the atty's? i hate the taste of primer with a passion. btw the only thing i like about the 510 is the harshness.. the throat hit is phenomenal, but it makes me quiver sometimes. thanks for all the replies!

Have you tried the 510 mega battery? I also bought a power pass thru that doesn't have a battery. It goes in a dc wall usb or your computer.
I find that this has more taste, throat hit, vapor. Also are you getting liquids from different vendors. Some vendors have juices that taste better then others and do better with a 510. Hope this helps as I've used a few other models and find the 510 one of the better ones to quit analogs.
Don't give up, take that from a guy with throat cancer. Good luck!

I am inclined to agree that there is not a single answer for everyone, and that maybe you have to be prepared to try a few things before you settle on one. I know that I tried a lot of different cigarettes before I settled on a single brand.

The Kr8 does it for a lot of people, the Ego seems to be a runaway favorite, even with people who have never liked the 501, and you could always build yourself a Nico stick box mod and try it with a 901 atty. There is a very good chance that one of those three will do it for you, and if you shop around you can experience any one of these for less than a week's worth of analogues at a pack a day (lot's less for the box mod).

Most attys seem to have some kind of primer on them..some more obnoxious than others even within the same "species" so burning that off does appear to be part of the process. Personal experience is that the 901 is consistently the least offensive in this area, but others might have a different experience.

Vaping really is not a "one size fits all" process, but then neither is smoking or even settling on which kind of lighter to use. For example the first couple of hits off a cigarette lit with a Zippo is (for me) more disgusting than any primer out there, but I am well aware of how many people would use nothing but a Zippo.

Realistically you have done really well with your 501 and if its time to refine the whole vaping process so that you fine tune it to your personal needs, that seems like a pretty normal progression to me, so why not go for it, explore your options, and have a little fun along the way.

Ummm, why not just pop over to Heaven's gifts and get some adapters and attys?

    You can get 510 -> 801, 901/Carts, etc...

Three adapters are going to set you back $2 a piece. Get a few carts/attys to go with it and you can try the different configurations and see which one you like. Batteries (for the most part) are just batteries.

Now, if you decide to go with a big battery mod, you can get it with a 510 threading and use any atomizer you want.

I personally have a SP2 and a full set of adapters. I can vape off most any atty. And I find there are times when I like the 801, and times when I like the 510, and times when I want the convenience of a cartomizer.

Bottom line is that the adapters are cheap and will let you try different things before making a decision. Even once you've made that decision, you might find that you like being able to switch it up.

I've had my issues with the 510, but I found that properly maintaining the atty, being careful not to flood the atty, and getting a bigger battery solved 99% of them. I've had one 510 atty for 9 months, and it's still going strong. The big issue for me was that the batteries got weak FAST.

There is no such thing as the perfect e-cig right now. Each model has it's strengths and weaknesses. Some people drip, others use carts, etc...

My maint is simple: Clean contacts every time I change the battery. Blow out the atty weekly (From the cart end to unclog the atty holes). Occasionally clean the contacts with contact cleaner.

Are you sure its the atty that is the problem? When you say you are getting inconsistent results are you dripping or using a cart (with or without mods). I had inconsistent results when I was using the stock poly filled carts. Once the cart was filled or topped off too many times, the poly would not wick consistently. If dripping then it has to be the atty.

As for KR808 carts, I love the convenience and flavor they provide (esp. at 6v), however after taking my old cartos apart this week end, I will not be using them anymore. All of mine were burnt to some extent including the ones that were only used on a 3.7 device (some were used and topped off only 2 times, I keep them topped as much as possible) and they were still burnt. These things run hot, esp. at 6v. So hot that some of my mouth pieces were deformed from the heat, which in my eyes means they are melting.

    my 2 cents.
