I need a device of some sort to do some real dripping with for flavor tasting and the standard 510 atomizers are just not working for me. I mostly use cartotanks now nut hate waiting a whole carto on just a half tank of juice and having to change it out.

The problems I have with the 510 attys is they just wear out fast and I just can't seem to get the vapour, flavor and performance I am looking for. Also changing flavors for testing never gets me the real flavor if the new juice for a while.

I use these attys on my provari and am just looking for a way to flavor test easily and effectively. I am not afraid of rebuildables but do have a disability that makes rolling marsh wicks very painful and frustrating.

Help me test lots of flavors in an effective Atty that will last and can easily transition between flavors without the lingering of old flavors around. Any and all advice is appreciated!

Hi - I use an LR 306 atty with a Cannon drip tip, but I also use 510s. I wrote a blog about straight dripping tips, I don't know if it will help: Drip, Drip, Drip…

So these 306 atys will connect to a 520 connection? I won't need any different drip tips or anything to use them? Was looking at the Cisco 306 2 ohm attys from avid vape. Will probably try a hh357 but it seems many Mich prefer the standard Cisco spec attys.

Starting to think this may be the way too. How easy is it to switch between flavors with a RDA? To I have to make a new wick and coil every time or?

Thanks for all the help all!

No need to make a new wick and coil between flavors, personally I don't do anything at all, after a few puffs the new flavor comes through. Some really peristent flavors can stick for a while, but a rinse and dry-burn usually takes care of that. :)

I'd second the RDA. The octopus and smotek RDA is a good and inexpensive one if you're just looking to try one out. But it's replaced my cartotanks.

I'm also liking the look of the smok RDA! Less than 10 bucks and looks easy to build too! Now that I'm definitely getting an RDA, I also looked at the igo-l. What are some of your opinions on it vs the smok RDA?

Well. Solved my problem of which to get by just getting both!

Anyways, I have a quick question. Where do you all get quality silica wick from? I just bought 100ft of both 30 and 32 gauge kanthal A1 from temco on the eBay for like $10 which is awesome.

So only thing left is wick...where/who should I get it from to ensure quality? I found where I ordered the RDAs they only had fiberglass wick material and quick research said best not to use it and get silica.

Any help appreciated, would like to get it ordered today so I have everything needed as packages start arriving.

Update:

Bought some wick on the eBay too from seller Mr wick in Arlington. Hopefully ship fast as that is only halfway across our state.

I have another question now.

I want to order some unflavored juice to drip into my RDAs in between flavors when sampling. I figure I will go very low to no nic as it is just to help flush out the previous flavor.

What VG/PG mix should I go with for this? I want the best mix to help flush out the flavor but also be the best for not helping to gunk up my wick and coil more? I tend to like 50/50 juice for my normal vaping but don't know if it is ideal for flavor flushing and less gunking.

Any help and opinions are appreciated!

I use the 510 atty's from IKENVAPE and they are awesome. In my opinion you can't compare the flavor/vapor from a decent atty to a carto. I use carto tanks for convenience only. Blowing out atty's gets rid of most flavor that aren't very strong. when i want go cheap i buy the smoktech atty's for around 4 bucks a pop. They do the job.
You could be having break in issues. Many atty's come with primer that needs to be blown out before vaping. They also need to be seasoned by using more juice when they are new. hope this helps.
