After getting my zap and DID, I put away my mini did clone. I was bored the other night and took it out to see how my recoiling skills had changed since I put it away. I nailed it on the first coil! No hot spots, perfect. And the draw is perfect too. If the top cap wasn't so unstable, I'd take it out of the house... but when I take a genny out, it's my standard DID because the top cap screws on and I don't worry about it coming off. I'm wondering... is the draw of the real mini did the same as the did clone or is it more airy like the bigger did? Does anyone have both the mini and the clone to compare? If the draw is the same, I'd like to get a real mini did that has the screw on cap that lines up with the wick and stays on. With my clone, I've found that I can just press the top cap on instead of screwing it on and then having to back it off to line up with the wick and it seems a bit more stable...not "put in my purse" stable but stable enough.

I don't have a mini DID, but I'm assuming the draw is the same as the larger versions, since the stock air hole is the same, at 1.2mm. The first mini clones were 1mm, but later versions were somewhat larger. I don't remember, but I think the later versions were either 1.2 or 1.5mm. I have a couple first version clones, which I drilled out.

You can file the dud cap down with some sand paper or a file. Also, I recall a post that didn't like the mini did that well because of it's size but I can't find it now.

Sure Vapes sells a mini DID clone that's made *mostly* of stainless steel...The Vulcan - Rebuildable Atomizer Tank (Satin) The center tube and positive post are plated brass, the rest is stainless. The cap fits better than the chrome version. I bought 2, one of them will tighten with the air hole just past the wick (less than 1/4 turn) and the other stopped just short...a little sanding fixed that, now it aligns perfectly when tight. The air hole is 1mm, I drilled mine to 1.2mm.

After looking at the MMVapors site, what we refer to as the mini DID clone is more comparable to the Temon. The real Mini DID has an outside diameter of 14mm and the Temon is 16mm. The mini DID clones are ~16mm.
