In the thread noted by DaBrat, I think Mister's post is important (and DVap's if you scroll down). Chemically, you're talking about virtually the exact same stuff. (One poster there said that "synthetic nicotine is a pesticide" -- um, regardless of derivation, nicotine can be and is used as a pesticide in adequate concentrations. I don't know what kind of farmer could afford to spray with synthetic, though. It's expensive as hell.)

I'd strongly suspect that every maker here uses the "real" (odd choice of word) nicotine.

Thanks for the info.
I was curious which you use since Johnson Creek and Ecopure say they use synthetic nicotine.
The price would be prohibitive. Read further down in the thread linked above. I just haven't seen claims by JC or Intellicig that they do that; do you have links?

No I don't have any links. I read it a few months ago on this forum back when JC changed their formula. It seems like a moderator named Sun posted the info but I'm not 100% sure since it was awhile back ago.

That is very odd cause at one point JC pointedly stated on their website that they had moved to the use of synthetic nicotine in their new stuff 'in order to avoid the nitrosames dervied from tobacco extraction' Heck Nitrosames are in my deli meat.

Can't find it anywhere on there now.
Ah, that explains it, I think. At least, my guess would be that Johnson's Creek must have done some budgeting and decided against it (since the FDA made such a stink about the trace nitrosamines in eliquid, I can't blame JC for considering switching to synthetic just to dodge that bullet). Seriously, we get more nitrosamines from food, like you said DB.

As far as Intellicig/Innovapor/Ecopure, I know that was a rumor for a while, but I guess it's not the case.

Eh, in any case, whatever the derivation of nicotine (as long as it's pure), it's way better than sucking in combustion products.

Geoff your selling 90% Nic know on your site ?? I don't see that there anywhere

No, I'm starting out with 99% pure nicotine that's being diluted DOWN to 9% nicotine in PG. That's 90mg per ml, of which is dispensed from metered equipment, flavoring and additives are added, and additional PG or VG, the end resulting in the varied levels of nicotine that you see on the site.

Let's also remember that the FDA is making desperate jabs at the whole e-cig machinery and e-liquid, playing the general public as complete dopes by over-sensationalizing things they find, hoping the general public won't do their research and debunk their "boosted" claims.

They are COUNTING on their "clout" to scare the general public over trivial matters.

Take a look at the FDA's track record over the past decades, things they've approved that caused serious harm, the things they fought that did nothing at all. You'll soon wonder how they've managed to stay intact at all.
