Real VTC5 ?

Hi,

I have just managed to get my hands on some VTC5's and im not 100% sure if they are real or not, this is my first lot of them so i have nothing to compare them to, would appreciate your thoughts on this, please see attached picture.

Check out sunvapers, they've got an article on how to spot the difference, but by looking at the qr code and how dark it is, they look like clones.

Yeah I read the very same article and the QR codes really stood out which was why i was wondering :S

Here are a couple of pictures of mine. I'm not sure from your picture what the positive end looks like so:

In the following, ignore the UPC code as I smudged it pretty good with my fingernail trying to see how easily that happened. The arrows indicate dual indents that these batteries have. I believe yours do not look like this. The circle indicates the area where it has what most looks like a seam in the wrapper. I believe yours have a much more pronounced seam. I believe both these differences point to yours being fakes, I am however no expert at this, just giving it my best shot from what I've read and seen about this.

thank you so much for taking the time to do this, you are indeed correct, my ones only have the one seam, I am really shocked by this as I bought these from a reputable uk online company, the emails shall start flying to them straight away!

The weird thing is that the very same battery I have got is in the photos on their website ukecigstore com/sony-vtc5-18650-2600mah-battery.html
I have removed the dot so not to allow google to recieve this as a backlink in the case they are not genuine.
